Best diff ratio for manual vl turbo for drags

Just wondering what people use as far as diff ratio for a manual down the drag strip and also what sort of times can be run on the standard sized wheel studs. Any info would be much appreciated as i am looking at taking my car down to a street meet soon.

whatever diff ratio that makes the engine reach peak power or a bit over .. over the finish line in 4th gear..trial and error
depends greatly on tyre size diameter aswell. Theres no best, every setups different

Yeah exactly what Darren said, it's all r&d. It also depends on when the motor stops making power or where you comfortably want to rev it to

Cheers guys. It will have 26 inch diameter 245/45R17 drag radials on it and makes peek power at 7100 rpm and rev limited to 8000. Its got 4.11 in it ant the moment and hits around 220 kph at around 7000 rpm. Was thinking of changing to 3.7 gears.

Hard to tell anyway..sounds like its geared for about 400rwkw. However i think gearing
will be the least of you issues, i think traction will be!,probally would go faster geared up, not on slicks..kill some
torque.
cheers
