The scat rods I have just taken out of my engine are over 6 years old and never had a problem. I had spun #5 big end before, re-sized it and they lived another 3 years. I have replaced them due to the work load they have done. They could go again in a streeter no worries.

I have just changed to Carrillo's. There pricey but you pay for what you get.

They were about $1950 - $2000 for the rods delivered to my door. They take about 4-6 weeks to arrive from the us.

I can do Carrillo Rods, CP Pistons & the 260thou pins of $3450.50 inc gst + delivery to were ever you maybe.

Are the Carrillo a direct fit? Or is your crank machined for chev rods as mine was,

They are basically a direct fit. You have to shave .096thou off the sides of the conrod so they fit into the piston boss.

Apart from these, which they can do in stroker form for RB30 with billet crank. Costs maybe 3x more than carillos though.
