New Car

Thought id post some pics of mi new car up here, as i posted em on "other readers cars" but its taking too long to get put up, so here will do.
i bought it for $3000, if ya cant tell, its a Gallant '75, got it with a 2.4l 4 cylinder engine, with about 150,000 kms on the clock (with that engine) total of about 300,000. car has new exhaust, extractors, and a webber carbie. has a pioneer head unit, sub in parcel shelf, amp, speakers. year old paint job (no just) got it also with a set of GSRs (not on yet.) the cars a 5 speed manual. i also got a huge amount of parts with the car, diff's, body parts, carbies, an engine, new trans, stacks. i think its a real steal for 3k, bloody nice car. just gotta get better at the old manual, stalled it once of twice at the lights lol. will be putting a turbo in it within the next few months, should run 14's with that in. cheers guys, tell me what u think (sorry its not a commodore.)
Cheers,
Matt
Ps (sorry for dial up users, lots of pics)

as i said on msn, i like it man, it has like the rx3 kind of look, i think a set of polished fr's would look pretty hot.

ps the paint looks way better in the night photos!

How you gonna go about turboing the carbie engine though? Isnt that a bit risky?

i think it looks great something different.. again what i like to see!

its very similar to the datsun shape. and there is one going around my way, with 18 inch chromes and airbags and it looks great

the condition of the body looks fantastic, for 3 grand.. cant be complaining there!

Would look mad with a set of cragers or equivalent.

Gone are the days of "real" tuff street cars!

chuck a SR20 half cut and a 5 speed, some nice rims (even those but bigger) would set it off, nice paint.

Car looks in good condition and looked after. I wouldnt put a turbo on it tho. Have to cost a fortune to mod the engine to suit. And can the rest of the car eg gearbox handle it? Id just drive it around as is for a year or 2 and then get something with more power.

yeah ive been thinkin that a turbo isnt probly the best idea, so even though the prev owner will be disapointed that aint gonna happen . will be gettin a vlct in a year or two hopefully.

im sort of spewing i didnt sell it in adelaide $3k gee wiz here in melbourne you carnt even give them away anyways have fun with it mate if ya need spares think i mite have few still around i put a tx 5 trim in mine and measured the bay it will fit a 302 windsor or was it clevo carnt remeber the other option i looked at was 13b turbo but yeah decided on the CA18DET was going to be the easiest in the long run. got good borg warner diffs in them single spinners but they eventually ls but never broke one i broke 3 autos and 2 engines....Have fun with it champ

Then my sister boyfriend bought one and bought the astron 2.4l with 5 spd behind **** that was a fun bush basher eheheh you could always do that as its a fairly easy conversion.

From memory there's a galant wagon in sydney that runs 10's or 11's something like that number plates SPASTIK from memory.

Oh i forgot i bought mine of my grandfather (RIP) had it since brand new so was mickey mouse been around the clock a few times dead original and i bought it of my gran for $300.00 ehehe
