Of cause most of the old cars are uncomplianced. Only the cars after 92 need a plate. Unless you sell it then it gets complicating. Im very eager to see wellsys vl. I heard it puts out 320rwkw (only heard not trying to start anything)

dont lie! U told me it made 320 RWKW... Altough I dont understand if you have a gas car why you want a Race tune and a street tune. that just ruins the reason why you would go gas. Just give it a streetible race tune and stick with it.

Muzza we have already discussed this...

Its not Street and Race tune... .

Its called the "Gearbox needs to last more then a week tune"

Once I sort out where Im going with the car, it will be one tune 24/7.

Wellsy your doin the right thing, when the time comes fill her up on straight propane, and wind the boost up.

maps can easily be made for both types of gas.. and when you switch it over (you might have two mixers by that stage ) it will work very nicely..

Gas compliancing is whats done when the gas installer installs the gear and approves it, and signs all the necassary paper work, and sends it off to vicroads.. and attaches a compliance plate to your car.. thats all..

Nothing to do with emissions, it's just to show it's been installed to recommended specifications.

I was there when it was ran, and saw it.. dyno print out to prove it, rumours are nothing but.... rumours

why do you have to run propane?? that means you need a street and race tune! I wouldnt bother.. there is only a few places you can actually find propane!!!

That just makes life harder..

Yeah it does.. we only have one spot up here, and thats BOC..

We were having trouble with pump gas octane levels varying up here, down in melbourne it might be different, but thats basically what sets the gas pressure, and running out of gas at high rpm and boost would be a problem, so propane is a good back up if matt wants to run boost without any fear of leaning it out. I know the gas lines have been enlarged, and the springs in the convertors changed.. but that will only get you so far, it's more of a safety precaution than anything else..

Fair enough.. Will be interesting to see how many km's he will get outta a tank of propane and to see where he can fill it up when he runs out Only 2 places in melb sell propane

Also u would need to tune ur car differently for Propane aswell and its not like on a pertol car where u can put a different map into the computer.. just causes more hassles i think. but each to there own

yeah thats true, propane is not like normal LPG..

The plan would be, a softer low boost tune for street driving and cruising, and then go by a propane outlet for racing when he gets his bottom end and box sorted..

It is a bit of mucking around, but in the end it's the best of both worlds, and leaves a bit of room when he decides to chuck a bigger compressor on the turbo, it's more of a good base to work from with the fuel and ignition side of things done, he should be able to make more than enough power one day if he wants to get into some serious racing... all up to him I guess. I am keen to see how it all goes as much as the next person.. bit annoyed I sold it so cheap now :P haha

Muzza I dont understand why you care so much ?

I could be talking s hit but at the end of the day who cares. I couldnt care less if I run a 10 or a 14, if I lose every drag I ever have...

Im doing this to please myself not others.....

Im not about making statements, Im not about beating others, Im about lighting up the tyres in 3rd cruising along at 70km/h... Im about burnouts, going fast. Cos thats what I enjoy doing.
