It's definately not screwed at all, if anything I think theres some selastic. But that'd be it in very small amounts, It's definately not going anywhere.

Side wall is held with a small block thats drilled into the false floor. And then the sidewall goes into that side block on the bottom, and a hole in the bracket on the top left.

is it just material or is there wood in there?
and on the wheel arches in the corners is it just trimmed to size and glued there?
thanks, mat

Yeah mate just carpet glued over on both.. I'm going to try and do it a little different in the new car, and maybe velcro the carpet along the top over the lights. I'll try to avoid gluing them over the wheel archers but I think its the best way.

If you are still thinking of doing it i have some 00gauge cable for the job from engine to boot. also have the connectors for the battery as well.
buy a battery with the breather lines, like the ones in the mercedes cars, drill a small hole, or go through a grommet in the floor, simple

Fully self contained battery boxes aren't that dear. Thats what I intend to buy for my setup when I get around to it.

Here are some pics of the box I made using Bax's measurements. I changed the design a little bit but the box is virtually the same. Just need to sand a few more mm off the ends to clear the rear shockies nicely lol thats what you get for mot measuring properly...

looks great mate,

just wondering tho, if ya's were to put ur batteries on the boot behind the subbox or whatever how would u jumpstart the car if need be? i know my alternator is buggered and the battery goes flat once in a while.(have new alternator soon tho)

also my mum had an au falcon (trader, lol. now has a vx) just bought a new battery before she sold it so she took it out just incase the new car had a buggered one in it. so i put one outta my vk in there and it didnt fit properly so we took out that plastic bit that the batt sits in and kept it so it would fit.

any ways to get to the point this plastic holder thingy has a little hole in the side at the bottom and a CAI sorta set up goes in to it, could this be used as a breather if i relocated it to the boot?

Not sure about rest of australia.... But in SA it is law to have a spare tire....
when everything is suited to fit with out the tire... cant use excuse... let some poor bloke who blew a tire borrow it....

You can go as far as building your own custom battery packs.... Example, Two nice flat ones under the driver and passanger front seats.... ??

I don't think I'd like having a battery in the cabin - the Boot is near pushing it.

Space savers illegal?

I want to put in a boot install using your measurements....but I am a bit confused as to how it goes into the boot.

Is that up the way it goes in the boot?
Also how have you secured it all in place?

Cheers
