MX7 crossmember spacers

hey when i put my MX7 in i didn't know there was meant to be spacers in between the floor of the car and the x member, but now after looking through the workshop manual i see your meant to. also it would explain why the box was touching the hole cut out for the shifter if that makes sense. just wondering if anyone can tell me how thick they are meant to be ?? it would help me out lots so i can make some up. im guessing around 10mm also would this cause any major problems whit the pinion angle and all that ?

sorry to hijack this thread guys, but would these spacers be required when using an RB25DET (R33) manual box? or would I need thicker or thinner ones? cheers
