Gas power

i've been searching like a mofo for any info on lpg setups but haven't found a thing.
what i want to know is what would be the best lpg setup to reliably run 200rwkw.
i need specs on everything boys, even better would be a website i could check out or some guidelines, reputable workshops etc.
thanks guys

not really speaking from experience but it seems the only gas setup worth worrying about with turbos is from gas research... you can probably contact them direct about it.

gas research is run on many 6 second cars, producing many times your target power.

a good setup can be done for around $2k.

im looking at doing this set up which goes like this:
removing the injectors, fuel rail, fuel pumps, tank, fuel lines, computer, MAF and basically all the wiring.
Then running a gas research carby with twin convertors, twin 40ltr tanks (where the petrol tank used to be covered by a bathurts style drop tank) and removing the factory dizzy. Getting a elec dizzy out of a vb/vc/vh blue 202 converting it to fit in the vl head and remapping the dizzy. That way i can run more boost without having to worry about fuel maps coz u just wind up the gas flow. Its cheaper and HEAPS easier to remap the converted dizzy for the ignition timing.
what you guys reckon?

i think if u want it all done legit so u can legally drive it around u will get stuck on compliancing and im confused on difference between compliancing and EPA approved, i assumed if it was complianced it was epa approved and to compliance a gas setup it is usually a kit that some has paid for to be tested for emissions.

anyone clear that up?

NTMID 8, can the twin tanks be filled on the one spout or would you have to have two spouts to fill the tanks seperate?

also do you know for sure that you can fit two 40 litre tanks in the original fuel tank position? could you fit just a single 90ltr tank?

thanks!

to fill the twin tanks off one filler is easy. my hilux does it. they just put a tee piece in the line and the smallest tank hits afl first and cuts off then the second tank keeps filling till it hits afl.
my burning question is though how do you convert the blue dissy to fit in the rb30 head. got the gear here wanna do it. cmon gimme some answers!

one big tank would hang to low under the car. To answer your question no im not 100% sure the twin tanks would fit but im going to cut where the spare tyre part hangs hone to give me more space, fit the twin tanks and cover with a polished aluminum drop tank.
To answer the 2nd question im not converting it my m8 is (mechanical engineer) but i will ask him and see if he will give his secret up.

VLMUZZA has a 10sec VLT on straight LPG running Gas Research gear. I've also had a trick setup on my small block Chev and it worked a treat, was pushing around the 300kw mark with 2 mixers and 1 convertor!

what i need to know now is how tough do you have to build the motor to handle that power output (200rwkw). I'm pretty sure the standard bottom end could handle it but im stuck on the head, what kind of cam would be the best for gas and still be reliable.
thanks

The 40 ltr tanks are to small, the presure drop in them will be to great at the car may lean out at the top end of a run......the larger the tank the greater the sustained presure.....

as for the dizzy, i believe you dont need to convert anything, i think you can use the dizzy out of an early nissan patrol.....or just get and aftermarket computer and set it up for ignition only....hope this helps

the original dizzy in the car would work fine the reason im converting is so i can ditch the computer and all the hassles that go along with it
2ndly i was told the tanks would pressurise between themselves so in thereoy i waill have an 80 ltr tank
