Fitting gas filler in place of standard fuel filler

Im just chasing down some opinions on how i would go about fitting the LPG filler behind the fuel flap, replacing the petrol one with the LPG one.

I was wondering if you can buy special fittings or anything, as i really cannot stand having the LPG filler cut into the body.

Cheers, John

Yeah I'm getting this done. You can buy the parts. Check ebay or ask the person supplying the rest of the gear.

ive got all my gas stuff already, as it came from a donor car, im just thinking of making some sort of insert that fits into the fuel filler that the gas filler can attach to, but if you say they make items i may try and find one.

Most pick your own part type wreckers have heaps of them, very common!
Or get a new kit.

Seriously though, I think it's ridiculous cutting a hole into a panel for one of those ugly plastic fillers, especially on an OK looking car.

when i got my cousins car given to me it had the gas filler put in the side of the car... i didn;t mind because it wa an ll chrome filler, looked nice... but i will be shaving them off soon and trying to find a way to hide it either behind a tail-light or in the boot somehow..

if your going straight gas you can use a panel filler in place of the standard petrol filler. just remove your petrol tank and place the panel filler in, use the nut a washer provided and it is a 10minute job. thats what i did with mine.. as i didnt want to cut anything out of my candy apple red. :|

Hey buddy, after i just took everything gas off my car, yeah like the boys have been saying its a a metal plate cut to suit, only you have to drill holes around inside the petrol filler to mount. I still have that plate if you want it and the line that leads to the tank?
