Gas injection never heard of it sounds good though, might be finally able to get the same fuel economy out of gas as we do from petrol. Would be alot better for gas turbo setups too.

Any info would be great

EDIT:.
found a good link doesnt tell a date as such but gives an overview of what its all about...
http://www.gas-injection.com/
and its an australian site too

Just had a couple of our work utes converted I think its called vapour gas the one we used on the newer utes. Its not injecters but they are into the manifold runners just before the head. System works well. Auto gas connection in Carrum Downs did it, I would suggest talking to them they are extremly switched on with gas systems.

that kit is a gas vapour injection kit...if your after the best gas setup you need an actual gas injection kit, which injects the gas as a liquid (not gas or vapour) but these kits are only available in the states and you would have a hard time gettin one sent down here n engineered

Yeah vapour gas injection is available for newer applications such as vx commodores onwards. The stats said 30% (off memory) less economy then petrol. So if you got 400k from petrol you would get 280 from gas. Not for high powered applications though as it is still in early stages.

300hp max

i beleive the injectors used in the gas system at this stage can only support 50hp per injector, the mob i spoke to(rotomotion in perth i think) also do there own ECU to suit, other restriction is the amount of gas a single tank/outlet can supply with regard to max hp....looks like anything over 300hp for an rb will be complicated and need two of everything?

LOL love it how you boys get ideas and run with em.. gas injection has been around quite a while, and its definetly capable of more than 300hp.

Some speedway cars have been using it for a while now.

Yeah few of the larger gas an motorsport places are starting to use it, from what i have seen there are a few different ways of delivering it, but most use the vapour injection method.

It seems to of branched out from other places, then I guess it's just getting modified to suit the auto market, I guess they places have to do their testing to make sure its all safe and usable before they go mass producing it for sale on older cars.. but looks like it's already taking hold on the new car market.

If I ever got done for EPA stuff again I'd convert back to gas in an instant I recon.

Gas injection would sway me to keep my car. I know I can get straight gas on my VL but with Gas Research I believe you lose the ECU controlling everything except for spark (my VL doesn't have an electronic box) and the system basically reverts back to been a carby again? That obviously defeats the purpose of having an injected 5ltr in a VL

If I could get the whole lot (ie. fuelling etc) run by the ECU I'd happily convert over.

ETA on when it becomes 'available'? Any companies in VIC trialling it? I'd be happy to be a guinea pig on this
