opinions on rims

Hey guys,
I am now almost ready to chuck some rims on my wagon but Im not sure on what I want. Id really like VY SS 18s but I also like the look of Internationls or the standard (polished) VL Calais rims. I was qouted $1700 from The Tyre Factory for 17" (non genuine??) VY SS rims and tyres, worth it? Which do you think would suit?? Id prefer somthing that didnt attract too much attention..

Thanks for any opinions,
Brian

put the wheels on your ride because you want it to look nicer, the way you want it to look, it's a VL, it attracts attention anyway!!!!!

I have the Inters and they rock, again, it's what YOU want, it's your ride and your money, btw, your pix aren't linked right.

the pix come up now, it's all good. Put a set of Inters on and lower the car, it will make a heap of difference!

yeah i really hate 17 inch vy ss's cos they are so obviously fake cos real ones only come in 18's (except off the really really rare vy ss wagon, that had genuine 17's i think). I reckon to stick to alloy and away from chrome with that colour of car, maybe some vt ss 17s? they are nice and cheap 2.

hey dude,

i bought my 18" vy ss rims with brand new tyres, mint condition rims, outa the paper for $1400, still in boxes from holden.

something to think about, second hand dosent always mean second rate quality.

Alrighty got another quote today, a tyre and rim package (plus fitting, balancing, alignment and locknuts) for 17" Internationals will cost from $1600 with "Wanli" tyres to $2200 with Bridgestones. The guy also said he'll do those prices for 17" VY SS's. These are brand new obviously so ill check out some 2nd stuff in the papers...

So now my question is what would you recommend for the tyres, bridgestones or wanli??

Ill see if he'll put them on my car to see if i like them or not

Later guys,
Brian

well the bridgestones are obviously going to be better tyres. you would have to leave it with the tyre experts to say whats better between the 2 different tyres.
