tail shaft mount/bolts

hey fellas as most would know the VL's have 4 bolts and 2 thick washers that are used to bolt up the tailshaft near the centre bearing, 2 are used for the mount and screw into the floor pan and 2 are used for around the strap that holds the tail shaft onto the mount. What I want to know is anyone 100% certain where the 2 thick washers are placed? on the tail shaft strap to the mount or for the mount to the floorpan?

lol if youve got a vibration, spend the $50 and get it balanced properly. will make a world of difference.
from what it sounds like youve unbolted the tailshaft from at the centre bearing, then unbolted the bracket attatched to the centre bearing itself?

it would make fk all difference where the washers are placed, they would go between the nut and the bracket, not the bracket and the body.
theyre not actually attatched to the tailshaft itself
if your that stressed just put washers on all 4 bolts..

why did you even undo bracket that for the centre bearing?
you only need to undo the 2 that attatch it to the body

you may be onto something since after having another look I can see grease around the floorpan above the bearing, next question is are the centre bearings between N/A 6, turb 6 and V8 the same or did each model have a different type

EDIT: this one looks the goods, what are they like to change?
