I dont know the guy, have never met him, and do not have his number.
but i can confirm he is still around.

He's not the kind of guy who'd run off with our money, but from what i have seen happen in the past he can sometimes take on more than he can chew.

having dealt with chinese companies myself I am sure that right at this moment they are trying to find out exactly what it is he has sent them, and how they can best copy it and market it. Anyone out there who has had dealings with even australian manufacturing companies will know that it is a massive head**** to get anything made in "short run" or prototype stages...

I dont actually know what niche is up to, i sure would like to, but at this stage i am not bothered.
I am still holding my breath... put it that way.

my guess is he hasn't replied because as someone suggested he's taken on too much

he offered his business for sale a while back, if you think you can do it all better than him you should have bought it yourself back then

it's always buyer beware too, everyone who paid has taken a risk and accepted that fact

where did I say or state

what i said was he's now too busy and has taken on too much. He's not coping is my guess and so putting more pressure on isn't helping you or him

sorry if you aren't getting weekly updates from him and that you don't have enough money to call him, only send texts

do you get it yet? he's struggling, I suspect in lots of ways, and your one fuserail probably isn't right on the top of his to do list atm

sorry but that's my take on it, he's obviously very smart to have come up with these in the 1st place and I bought one from him prev.
Go to plan B until this hopefully gets resolved

Try not to turn this thread in to a bitching match that we all get copied on.

I'm waiting on updates as much as the next person.

take your comments offline or via the PM's.

If we all do this then the next update will be from Niche regarding a fuse rails.

Stick to that facts,
you gave some money,
you were promised some goods,
now just wait.

if you need to get an update, especially if you know of a factual promise date,
and it expired, and the guy doesn't contact you or hasn't contacted anyone else then it's loss and needs to be refferred to the authorities.

this would be a good start

http://www.afp.gov.au/policing/cybercrime.aspx
or this specific for inet scammers;
http://www.afp.gov.au/policing/cyber...and-scams.aspx

Personally I would wait another 5 months, knowing what its like to deal with international trade!

Kind regards
Sime

In my opinion him putting these fuse rails together again for everyone was due to the numerous amounts of hassle he has probably had for them since the last batch from people melting the original or moving into the glovebox

Fair enough if It has not gone smoothly as the first time around & hope it all works out but I think his intentions are good and the time out of his day is to benefit us more than himself even if he does make some money out of it.

this kind of thing has already fallen over once before, as i'm sure everyone knows. Aside from one or two people who still claim to not have received money or a rail (I dont know the full story for any of them) everyone else received a rail or a refund.

some people waited a LONG time, longer than anyone should, however I believe it is all but square. Last time it all went to **** it was pretty much over, they only got brought back into the picture because of non stop requests and finally the OP of this thread doing the proper followup... maybe Niche just wasn't quite ready but saw how keen everyone here is and went too soon?

IIRC last time he had death in the family and it brought everything down.

Would like to hear an update some time soon. I share another forum with him and I know i've seen him online once or twice, i've just been so busy i haven't bothered to follow up.
Might do so in a couple of months if we are still in the dark.

lol, everyone knew there would be a wait when they paid. Don't understand why people are whinging.
Go find somewhere else to get one made, at this price.... Goodluck with that.

At the end of the day, I'm sure there aren't people with registered cars sitting in garages not being driven solely because they haven't received their rail yet.... A couple of melted fuses is hardly a big deal... Rewrire them and keep waiting.

Long time since I heard any news.
Don't have a vl anymore but I know I will one day and it's sure as hell gonna have a niche fuse rail in it. Would be nice to just get an idea of where he's at, even if it he tells us they won't be here before Christmas, it'd be sweet to hear something

I cannot speak for niche but I am of the impression there is no news/updates as of yet. But he seems close to having something to say. Seems instead of coming here saying there's nothing to report he's trying to hold out untill he has something good to tell us.

I have spoken to him over the Internet, he's aware it's been a while and I still believe he wants this done. However, with his other issues I am unsure of what number on his list of priorities this falls into. Rest assured its still in the works, as far as progress goes... No concrete news from the man himself.

where do you put your racing gloves now?

btw, if you have a good fuse box & lid, to stop them melting or cracking, put a few slits in the flat section of the lid on top at the front above the section that protrudes for the harness.

It stops engine bay heat build up in the highest point of the cover.

also a little maintenance is to use a smooth nail file board or whatever the misses calls it and polish the fuse contacts so that they are shiny again. un-tarnished contacts have less resistance, this prevents, the fuse rail from becoming a molten mess under electrical load and from the ambient heat under the hood.
