Steering Rack?

Hi all!

Just a quick question on the steering system on VL commodores!
i noticed one day in the wet i took a corner(or tried to :-/) and my wheels quickly turned full lock in the direction i was turning, and the car kept going forward! it wasnīt very nice! I managed to stop before hitting the curb, but just wondering! is this just the way old steering systems were, or is my steering rack stuffed?
Thanks

It's called sliding, your front lost traction, that's all

Nah itīs not the sliding that i mean!
Its the wheels turning to full lock because of the turning pressure!
Itīs like there is no force against the turn in! And i had 235/45/17 on the car, new tyres!
Ive never had any other car do this! I know the front geometry of old holdens is crap, but shouldnt do this!
Anyway thanks for the replies!
