That white VLC had sounded like a terrorist attack was going on under the bonnet. Anyone know what happened?

Was it HZRDUS that ran the flat 8 or the vk 355 twin turbo wagon?

Either way both cars are animals and they both got faster as the night got colder. Awsome turnout.

the night held out great.. it wasn't a bad turnout.. the 400 cube xd held quickest for a while at 9.05 then 9.07 then 9.02, was fair effort, dunno if he cracked 8 later on though.. poor ****s in that ute AN1M4L, was a boring wait for the oil clean up too... anyone see the silver xr i think take off and the bonnet ripped off? poor ****s done 2 runs and the first one he dumped oil, lol.. hopefully it'll stay.. cant wait for easternats here

seems like it was a busy night. a mate called me at 3 and said there were people already lining up lol..

Alan was told along side a few other cars (dee's 180, josips vl, the gtr) no more cars in.. Some even got knocked back at the door right at the gate!!

i wonder if they bring it back to a weekly affair after the response they got..

Well i hope they do open it every week. Driving home on the friday night there wasn't that many people crusing. Less trouble on the streets, more fun at the track. It's a win win situation to open every week.

they'll keep it monthly i bet
to make sure they keep getting turnouts like friday night
if they open weekly they wont get as many big turnouts bcos people will just say "ah well go the next week instead"
Bob Jane makes more cash that way i think

Just released on the Calder website...
CALDER PARK FRIDAY NIGHT DRAGS ARE BACK!

Friday 4th December 2009

Friday 5th February 2010

Friday 19th February 2010

Friday 5th March 2010

Friday 19th March 2010

Street Drag Update:

Due to our large turnout on the 6th of November street drags, the entrance for all non competition vehicles ( ie Crew and Spectators) will now be via Calder Park Drive.

This will reduce congestion and help the Event run more smoothly.

Tow Cars, V.I.P, Media and Officials may still enter via the main gate.

Just read in my local paper that the organiser for easternats is nearing completion of a deal to bring easternats to calder for the next 5 years. Sounds good....
