Removing power steering tie rod from front strut?

hey fellas quick question i got a whole front suspension out of a VL, strut, springs, brakes, power steering rack etc etc. How do i remove the power steering rack tie rod from the strut? Ive removed the split pin and 19 mill nut, does it just knock out or is there some clip/nut holding it to the strut?

It's on a taper. There's an extensive thread about this already, do a search.

It is a ba5tard of a job, some people get them out by hitting either side of the tie rod eye with two hammers - this is how the gregorys tells you to do it. Didn't work for me. I used a ball joint seperator. Made a hell of a crack when it came loose, thought i had broken something.
But as said before - there is a huge thread on this - do a search, there are quite a few tips in there to help you out.

heaps of penetrene, u need 2 build up harmonics in the steel, dont hit the thread even if ur replacing tie rod...even get someone to lever lightly as u hit the housing, dont even need to be that hard...other than that tie rod separators work....sometimes...
