VL Turbo Vs VT Turbo

Hey everyone... which would like rather have parked on your driveway? A VL TURBO, or VT TURBO.

Here are some pics of a VT TURBO;

By the way... say you wanted a VL to do 10's... how much would it cost? and why will you need to spend more on a VT to get it into the 10's? Are VL's made for lightening fast speeds. Thanks. Any comments appreciated

VL is much better for times as its 300kgs+ lighter and has a live axle diff..
but that VT ran 11.2 @121mph and makes 330rwkw on 20psi. internally stock engine except for rocker arms.
With the bar on you dont even see the cooler except though the main air hole.

well if those pics are from the FIT website, which it looks like they are, then that black vt is a mates car. it was an R&D project built by FIT to test the power limit of the super6 bottom end. car now makes 444 rwhp @ about 19psi i think, and the engine loves it. very quick car.

sort of.. its the supercharged motor, the same motor found on the factory supercharged v6s.. as it was once supercharged. dead stock except like said for the higher ratio rocker arms. only difference internally afaik is the pistons, they're not forged but bit tougher and ceramic coated i believe, and the rods are a bit thicker.. the heads also have injector holes in different spots due to the supercharger manifold. u can do it to your normal ecotec tho, just just pistons and rods aftermarket and itll be even stronger.

not mine.. lol and its not the posters either, thats a FIT development car www.v6supercharged.com i think is the site
its just the price to bolt on the turbo pretty much, its the stock tranny and diff too!
the turbo is just a gt35r so with the exhaust manifolds the turbo piping and a cooler tune fuel e.t.c it adds up but no worse than a vl

VT for sure, those 3.8s are mental with a decent sized single turbo, such torquey motors and so responsive.

And that bay looks 10 times better than 90% of vl's on this site, the alternator might be ugly but at least it's ****ing neat lol.

VTs are boats with IRS. Buy a 3.8L VS exec with live axle and whack a turbo on that!

Who cares what the cooler looks like, seriously theres going to be a front bar in front of it so your only going to see fins anyway.

Id go a VYSS Twin Turbo

Altho id chose a VL Turbo over a VT Turbo due to the reliability factor that i belive a VL will be more reliable then the Eco 3.8's

i'll have to disagree with u on the stock tranny and diff cause if it is the fit turbo it got a 3.46 lsd and a fully rebuilt tranny to get it into the 11s!!!!!! it was doing 12.7 on the stock diff and tranny....

Ring FIT now ans they dont want to know about turbo jobs anymore - thats a conversation I had with them a couple of months ago. When it comes to getting the Ecotec and Super6's going hard though, FIT have it covered for sure

VL all the way. Lighter, better looking and cheaper to modify. High 11s r easy on standard internals.
