Come down to the park deano if you are keen basically you throw it on the ground and run up and jump on or you can run with it throw it down and jump on and slide across the grass/water ! You can do it at the beach too.

nope but I can make one if you are keen piece of 15 mm ply with a bevel on the edge that is about all they are you can use a boggy board if you want

Peter have you gotten your manifold yet ? Is the water down enough for the TNT truck to come in ?

Tim what are you doing to your car before you go out to the drags this weekend if it is on ? Do you want those slicks ?

Jay are you still keen to get that guy to build an engine for you ? Have you decided what you want to do to it yet ?

Hey Jay did you use the mf5 speedo sender and speedo cable when you did your rb20 5sp conversion or did you just put the vl cable into the rb20 sender ? It bolted in as a direct replacement of the mf5 didn't it ?

Yeh I am going forgies and shot peened rods and maybe oringing the block. I was just going to rebuild it myself, unless he can do me a good deal to save me the trouble

The gear on the output shaft is the same (i found this out after i pulled it apart to change it ) Just pull the RB20 sender out and put in the mf5 one in and your done

I told you it would be worth the wait there is NO comparison to the quality of his manifolds the design and just the overall finish you can see why his manifolds produce faster spool times ! So you should be boosting within a few weeks ! Sweet as nice to see another vl getting about again

Yeah that 6BOOST guy seems to know his sh*t, but so does the Dus360 bloke aswell. Is 6BOOST making twin turbo LS1 kits now?

Someone buy my 18's and my 19's. I want both sets gone, because I want a set of the Lightweight OZ Racing 18's (in white, same as on the V8 Supercars). They are so hard to track down a set but. I would also like an LS1 edit in the next couple of weeks.

I hope the rain holds off for this weekend. Been practising my launches.

yeh ls1 edits are the way to go but don't go to hawkins, he locked the ecu on both my mates and they had to wait weeks to see him for a tune and even when they asked himm he wouldn't take the lock off so they can't go to another tuner. go maffless too. 12 sec 1/4's with minimal mods.

what rims do you have for sale, put up some pics, i may be interested.

Nah I am not going MAFLESS. I have done the best mods I can to see it looking stock for the dealer, because I don't want to void my warranty. Those mods include Monaro CAI, K&N Airfilter and GTS MAF pipe. I could go with a bigger throttle body but don't think I will just yet.

I was reading about the GTS but, and it acctually comes with a MAFLESS tune from factory, pretty mad.

Rims I have for sale are the 19" VY GTS (you know the ones) and maybe the 18" Champagne R8 Clubsport rims. I would like a set of the OZ racing but they are so hard to come by, so I might go with the VY R8 Maloo 18's instead.

My mate with the VZ SS ute is the same as you wanting to keep his waranty, he has spent thousands on exhaust, gearbox, diff gears, intake, cam and lsi edit but he hasn't been able to get through the 12 second door where as his mates with a mafless tune, exhaust and diff gears are.

Yeah, them LS2's sound so good. And in the VZ II R8 Maloo, they haul.

That's Suss he hasn't cracked the 12's but. I've been told with extractors and exhaust, CAI, medium sized cam, diff gears, bigger Convertor in the auto, a shift kit and an edit, 11's are VERY close to achievable.

PS: I was also told a few baby mods that are good for power, in conjunction with an edit. Like the TB coolant Bypass mod. The underdrive pulley mod also.

he he calais turbo ls1 dot com na the gold ute from TMS has so far ran a best of 12.7 I think it only has diff gears cai and extractors and exhaust and a rip shifter I am unsure of the mafless tune or not but it has standard internals ! Not too shabby imo !

Yeah, if I ever write of the Clubby, all the good bits will be going into a VL, that's for sure. VL's are a F*CKLOAD lighter too.

hahaha if you ever right the clubsport off you will be paying to get your arsehole stiched up after your parents rape you ! lol hopefully I will have all my turbo stuff gone by next weekend and I will be able to order and receive my parts before the end of the month I can't wait it is going to be good fun ! Can't wait until I get back out to the drags and run some decent times !

Yeh Alex with the gold/bronze/yellow/mustardy colour ute has a maffless tune. Him and Simon my mate and another sedan all work at my work and it's a big competition.
How much fun is stabbing it on the wet roads. I lit it up leaving work when they were a heap of guys fixing some pot holes yesterday and had it sideways for about 200m just feathering the throttle. They have security camera and everything but noone said crap today...famous last words. Have you been stepping it out just a little jason, you know you want to. Heaps easier to do it in a manual eight. I have to either punch it in the higher rev range or wait for the stally to bite before mine spin. Zero torque down low.

Yeah, I have been a little bit. I just cruise at 60kph, push the power button in and push the accelator in a bit so revs kick up to 3000-4000 somewhere and have a little fun.

Been practising 'fishies' out at some quieter destinations, but I still suck bad at those.

Dean, hook me up with tyres already. With the current ones, I think I got no chance of traction if the rain holds off for the drags this weekend.

Get a VX GTS or your soft. But like a VY SS ute or sedan would be sick aswell, better than some ghey import.

lol scrap the skylines and the wrx you don't have enough money to buy 3 to 4 gearboxes a year go the ls1 don't get a ve get a series 2 vy or a vzss ! Are you still going to go out or what ? Does anyone want to borrow the slicks ?

Saw reilys car over at HiFlow changing the head gasket hopefully. Hopefully there is no damage to the head ! The story goes he has had the head fixed/done up since he went to the drags last time apparently he has spent $6000 on it big mofo Tomei cams and gears bling bling. But yeah bit of a break down in the communication of the torquing down of the head resulted in 75 neutons instead of foot pound and pop ! Bit of a shame will be good to see another vl going ! I also saw petes car looks nice I like the heat sheild looks smicko !

I had better pull my finger and get this box down other wise I will be out of the race ! There is going to be some hot racing in the vl scene this winter as it starts to cool down ! I am hoping to be out racing with the glide by Ingham carshow so I had better get moving ! LOL

Anyways I also spoke to campy about your rebuild the other night Jay and he said it is hard to quote without seeing the engine and what will need to be down but it should be around the $1000 mark but it will be under $1500. He said that will be what ever you want head work and balancing and what ever else so yeah let me know !
