well for now plan is to keep it, and once i get some money i will do a full restoration.. respray, fix little rips in interior, remove some ****ty pin striping, put og wheels, og steering wheel, and work the 308 thats in it.. but all this could possibly take place years from now... basically my goal is to get it 100% original with a bit more balls.. just a nice cruiser, then way later on ill go from there.. ill just say we got it for a bit under 10

hopefully pics next week

Absolute bargain mate. Well done.

Make sure you dont use the original engine for the '55, and make sure any mods are reversible. You've got a matching numbers GTS... there isnt any higher model.

thanks mate.. well the thing is.. about 20 years ago the o.g owner blew the engine up so he replaced it.. back in the day he didnt know about this so he wacked in another 308.. im gonna try track it down, (will be impossible).. if it was the o.g 308, i'd leave it as it, but since we got some random 5 litre we will most likely stroke.. its a shame he traded in the o.g one

Majority of them only had gauges that went to 100,000km (HQ does anyway) so who would know how many miles theyve done. By now there arent many with original engines. Most have had rebuilds or various different motors inbetween the rails.
When someone asks how many km's my cars have done I shrug. It's irrelevant!
