no i have had my whinge lol mine will be going towards either lawyer fees, tux hire or take a load of my loan
The majority of people earning $79k will be aged 25-40 and are the most likely to actually spend the money instead of giving it to pensioners who are going to throw it in the bank.

You sound more jealous of people earning more money than concerned as to what the main idea of the stimulus package is all about.

Well, everyones situation is different.

You could be comparing a $50k wage for a 21 year old who lives at home with the parents and no outgoings with a single parent paying off a house with 2 kids on $79k...

ok ive got 2 kids a partner and i earn under 50k and we basicly live of my one wage.

now a single parent who pulls in 1650 after tax a week will strugle i dont think so mate there life would be very comftable.

Exactly, when you are on one wage with kids/houseloan
and supporting everyone, its equal to making fark all when your single etc
Most young people are in for a shock, thats why the car scene demograph
is generally 18-26, after that you marry/have house/kids/are pov and ****ed.

The other thing he lives in adelaide, going by his sig, cost of living is cheaper here, 80k wage in sydney would go nowwhere, In adelaide 50K would be living on the poverty line with a average house loan/one wage/kids, there certainly would be no cars being done up it would be just the essentials, based on average loans and house prices

cheers
darren

the grant is worked out on last years tax return
upto 80k gets $950
80-90K gets $650 i think
90-100k gets $300
over 100k gets nothing

last year i earnt less than 40K so i will receive the full $950
if it went on this years pay then id just scrape in for the $300

also, this is apparently a tax rebate/concession thing, not just a handout

like the government has said, its not something they wanted to do, they HAVE to do it to try and not have a recession

yet multimillionaire turnbull wont back it
