HELP Needed for VL Boss kits!

Hey guys,

After just recently purchasing a new momo steering wheel (with boss kit to suit ) ive come to a set of crossroads where ive found that the boss kit that i recieved with the new wheel is different in a lot of aspects to the one that was sitting on the car previously.. The car used to have a autoteknica wheel on it... Ive taken a few photos quickly from my phone to try and give you a better idea of what ive been looking at and any help at all on the matter would be greatly appreciated.. Cheers in advance

MY BOSS KIT IS THE ONE ON THE RIGHT...

THE FIXINGS FOR THE ACTUAL WHEEL ITSELF ARE EXACTLY THE SAME, ALTHOUGH THE BASES ARE THICKER.

ALSO THE 2 HOLES YOU SEE IN THE CENTRE ARE EVEN DIFFERENT SIZES NOTICABLE TO THE EYE, IM TIPPIN THERES AROUND A 2mm DIFFERENCE...

STEERING WHEEL

Friends of mine have had similar troubles, It will not fit the VL Column. Use your old one, take the new one back to the shop and ask them nicely to bend over....

thats what i was thinking but my old one has been raped by the previous owner.. is there anywhere you can take the 2 boss kits and get them to cut and reweld up the fixings part of them (see below the metal parts with all the screw holes)... It looks and seems like it can be done, but trying to keep in mind the safety issues associated with it.

Use the MOMO one on the right. The other one looks like a vn-vs one! If not change it and get the right one. They are all multifit to the wheel just not the column!

Dont worry that was my only other option.. I was only asking to see if it could be done safely but obviously not. Definately organise a time.. Ill be at Marakesh which is somewhere in the city tonight but ive got plenty of time up my sleeve. I can pm you my number as well if you like.. round up the fellas etc etc.

This thread has had all the use it needed.. Thanks guys.
