How is keeping it original going to stop it from being crashed due to someone else's incompetency behind the wheel?

Are they letting you keep the shell now that they say its repairable? It's a good excuse to build it the way you initially wanted to now.

ok The shell has been sold off to be turned into a drag / power cruise car and the running gear is going to get boosted and put into a VR wagon

will be kinda like this :-

Marty i just reckon its something different also i got the VR Wagon very cheap and the motor and gearbox were pretty far gone so with the parts i had from the VL i thought lets try it vl motor and box into a vr in N/A form pass all the ADR stuff then high comp turbo it and have fun

i wouldnt think it would beimg an older motor in a neer car. neo rb25 would be the way to go then bolt in a 30 bottom end noone would ever know....

If it where me I'd find a nice calais shell with 0% rust that already painted a stock color scheme and transfer all the gear in it.
That way you can have one killer car for less guilt, mucking around and $$..

fark that is depressing!!! seeing a good car like that wrecked!! there are heaps of VL wagon body's out there that could have been turned into a drag car! this wagon was very easily repaired and reregistered!
