doesnt martin donnan have something to do with a gt35r kit for holden v8?
i would personally run a gt35r with 1.06 rear for full boost at probably 1800rpm lol. what a torque monster!
if its outright power you want gt42 76mm version with 115 rear

it's not expensive
u can make the exaust set up yah self if u want if yah handy with pipe bending and a tig welder.

get standard headers and turn them around the opisite way make up piping to fit them i just got exaust and bent it into shape and welded the turbo flange on there then bolted it to the 2 exausts.

for oil to the turbo u can go to any shop like enzed or sumthing like that and get hose made up to fit ur oil pump, make sure u get a t section bit so u can screw ur oil light on to t section bit oil return line u drill a hole into ur sump and tig a fiting in there to fit ur return line pipe.

um i had my turbo siting near where the alternator goes so u have to remove ur air box and ****, had the exaust running threw a hole where the old airbox was and running down the inside of the wheel close to the chasey as u can get.

got a 2 bar map sensor a supercharger chip from capa didnt upgrade fuel system stanard holden fuel system is good for 380 hp which u get easey on 6 pound.

um yeah car went wheel before turbo **** itself, i was runing a t04 turbo high flow with 60 mill exaust housing.

il try and get a photo up for yah.

if it's a carby car ur doing it's even easeir.

You should be able to find someone who does single/twin turbo packages. I know Active Automotive over here in WA (Eddy Tassone's workshop) do a package for single turbo 5L's.

I would buy a pair of cheap vg30, rb20 turbo's, z31 vg30 or vlt turbo's.

Use stock manifolds and as said above, simply weld a t3 flange to the pipe support it a little and off you go.
It could be done for bugger all if you done most of the work your self.

There's no replacement for displacement.

Im in the process of doing a twin turbo to my 304, as stated above you can get out of it easy i have brought a t03 and bov so all i need know is other little bits and peaces and then my manifold to be made up. If your running stock 304 you need small turbo's as mentioned above. The SC web site have a worldfull of info if you have a alook there. Also Drew from this web site tt his 304 have a chat to him maybe. Also there are 2 t3/t4 for sale on this web site as well you might want to look at.?? I have a article from the mob in WA that did the turbo on a statesman 304 if someone wants to host it i will send it to them ???

yeah id probably do most of the work myself, i heard if u run one turbo u can turn ur opposite exhaust manifold around and have it commind accross the front of the motor but i rekon it would look ****.
i would go twin turbo but that would probably mean more internal work than a single turbo would need. The car is a vs ss stock besides exhaust
SLR-L31 thanks for the advice pics would help a great deal cheers
NVIOUS i heard that eddy tassones work did used to sell setups but stopped producing, dont know why.

stuggers - if you had a single turbo and had one side havin to travel further it would be wrong in so many ways... consult ur mech on that one..

why would a TT system require more internal work, just run less boost. at 300rwkw ud need to do the internals anyway right?

a TT system would be alot easier, ive seen the exhaust flipped around b4 but imo its a bit dodgy, just for out a lil more money and get a couple of manifolds made up. or make them yourself if your good with a welder.

who needs a custom manifold, just get the stock manifolds and flip them over and get a merge pipe welded to them to the turbo... it can be done cheap if u want, but then u wanna hope your engine holds too.. they should be able to take 10psi or so b4 theres trouble, i definately would run a cooler no matter what.
active got 380rwhp out of a stock 304 with 12psi, just a modified t4.. the factory manifold works a treat with boost so save your money there too

yeah see ive heard that u dont need internal work for a single turbo and run low boost and ull get good power
stable i would rather twin turbo but it costs a bit of extra money that i dont have yet.
SLR - L31 i have got no idea how to put photos up. i think there is a site called photobucket u can upload them onto and then post the address on a thread.

Im going to go outside the square here and say..... have you thought about a rear mounted turbo??? have a look at this site: http://www.ststurbo.com/f_a_q. they have complete kits for all the new camaros etc. the trick is to size the exhaust housing right.

and while i duck my head in cover for all the abuse ill get for suggesting it:- im currently in the process of completing such a setup on my vr v8. in fact it is actually on the road and frying tyres. im in the r&d stage now.

pop the bonnet and apart from the different inlet pipe, you wouldnt have a clue wats going on!

All the best with the vr turbo conversion..

When I had my VS V8 5speed I wanted to bolt a turbo or two up to it.
No one would look at me. Every one said bah, turbo crap; supercharger is the only way to go. $8,000 Thank you.
Bugger that.
I even popped in to a few jap tuning places that only deal with turbo. They too were not interestered.

So I spent a few thousand on cams etc. Was dissapointed so I sold it and bought a R32 GTST and dropped a rb30det in it
There's no replacement for displacement.

Still.. In my books there's nothing sweeter sounding than the awesome sounding Holden V8 (sounds like a real v8 unlike the ls1's) and the turbo whooshing away as it force feeds.

If I still owned the car with my knowledge now I would feel confident doing the work myself.

How are you doing the turbo setup on the VR? pics pics.
