Ok ive got a Stupid Question...(and im sure it wont be the only one)

Just took my front struts out today, and noticed something in the process...

The Right Strut is off-centered towards the Engine and the extra hole in the tower and the strut match up...The Left Strut is off-centered in a different direction, obviously meaning the extra holes dont match up...

Stupid Question is - When i put it back together, do i put the Left Strut back how it was before, or how it should be with the holes matching up?

Put it back exactly how it was, It is always a good idea to mark the strut top in relation to the tower, rotating these will stuff up your camber/caster angles.

Agreed... but shouldn't both be the same way? I would be inclinded to talk to a suspension shop - it could be out of alignment the way it is. If it was me i would put them both back as the workshop manual says and get a new alignment! If they need moving a good alignment palce will rotate them to where they should be.

Cheers,

J
