The Brock family

I served Peter Brock's family tonight at our resteurant. They'd been in a couple of times befor and once with Peter when he signed my dashboard. I sent condolences on behalf of everyone on Calaisturbo (hope thats oright).
Very nice family, and they thank everyone for all the support they have recieved over this time of grief.

Was very tense though when i was speaking to his brother and he was telling me how he remembered the night when Peter signed my car, and was talking about the signature, whether it was fading, and what to do to preseve it, and to keep the car after i told him i am selling it. I found that a bit wiered, i dunno...
anyway just thought id share that.

Elie

FFS guys, Elie is trying to be considerate to the family,

And all you are doing is ripping on him for trying to do the right thing.

Which he did.

Who knows, maybe you guys have never lost anyone close, but sometimes the best thing can be knowing that people care.

Did either of you (VLHERO & [T] Matty) even stop to think that if it bothered the Brock family that much they could have just brushed him off when condolences were offered, instead of having a convo with him on how to preserve the signature and so on?

Please think before posting or keep your negative comments to yourself.

i know it is hard to deal wif a loss of a loved one as at the exact time brocky passedf away i was lowering my grandad in to a hole in the ground, it is sooo hard saying GOODBYE to a lved one and to have people give there condolences makes it that little bit easier to show that people out there do care cand are there for u wen u need them and at this point of loosing someone u do need as much support as u need,
Good job elie. cheers

yeah, you would!!!!

I'm sure the family know what a great man Peter was, and still is in their hearts.

Condolences "expression of sympathy with a person who is suffering sorrow, misfortune, or grief" - don't you think that definition fits here?

[URHYNS], you did the right thing, I'm sure you would have guaged that from their reaction.

man i you lost a brother, and no one even said, "im sorry for your loss, i hope your doing ok" id think either... fark no one liked that ******* anyway, or what a ****ed up unsympethetic cold world.

vlhero and tmatty if you lost your brother who was loved all around australia and alot of the world, and if you didnt want people to remind you about your loss, you wouldnt go to Maroush, the busiest restearant in eltham(especially on a saturday night), which just so happens to be the Brock's home town, and everyone knows them. You'd probably order a takeaway, and get a mate to pick it up.

Honestly VLHERO and [T]Matty are wrong, he meant well and he showed them he cares and he is sorry for there loss and if anything thats what you do when some ones passed away so in my opinion and most other people he did the right thing. Good on you man.
