R31 3.7 diff ratio into VL wagon

I'm wondering whats involved in fitting a 3.7 diff centre to a VL wagon with a standard 3.45 single spinner.

I have a whole 3.7 skyline rear end plus matching speedo drive gear.

I understand the skyline has a 4 pinion diff and the VL a 2 pinion, but are the centres interchangable?

Thanks.
