Heres my setup 2 044's and a carter black lift pump the cab or boot have never smelt like fuel, i took all of the drain plugs out of the boot to help airate it and it seemed to work.

Im in the process of making a carpeted box to cover the setup and hopefully make it quieter, coz yes its LOUD

Does anyone know legal implications of running the fuel system in the boot? Say keeping the standard tank but running the pumps, surge tank like many of you have done?

Just curious if it will pass a roady. Sorry if its already been answered but to be honest i cbf searching.

Nothing against your setup mate but i wouldnt be using teflon tape on the threads, the fuel will eat it and it will leak. Use a liquid hyd thread sealant.

Not legit, its got to be sealed from the cabin I think. Its better to run an undercar surge, its not as pretty though.

as far as legal well its a vl nothing is.

but must be sealed from the cabin area, eg in a large sealed box

yeh i bought the tank because i was lucky and found one with outlets under the boot floor to keep engineers happy, its only about 40ltrs. The header tank that is fed by two carter blacks was not to necessary because of the gravity feed but made plumbing alot easier and added that extra safe factor. The header tank was made by myself and works a little different than the surge tank style setup as there is no return from the engine. I also have the option of adding 4x 044's to try achive 1000hp fuel supply for later. I am also having two 1/2 inch alloy lines run up to the front. I still have to fab up a stainless pipe to the original fill point.

I'm doing a setup in a 1000+ hp shortly.. I'll get some photos. Its going to be all in hardline and through the floor in bulkheads. I'll get some photos when its down. It would suit your car to a tee I reckon.

Yours.. well anyone who wants to make 1000+ day in day out. I can't think of the magnafuel pump part number, but basically factory tank, 300L/PH intank, feeding 4 Litre surge, -10 flares, hardline into the pump, hardline out of the pump, into a bulkhead, under the floor and up into the bay into the rail. Should look pretty schweet when done.

just to add to this thread. Ill be trying for a tad over 300rwkw through my rb30et and i will be running a bosch 984 pump in conjunction with an undercar surge tank. Is one 40 micron filter enough? and where should it be positioned? after tank? after pump? etc
