laws on smoothing out bay's

i have tried looking but can find anyhting and im just curious if there is any law's on smoohting out bay's? like taking out the bump's that are in there and welding sheet metal on top of the rails?

I dont think there are laws against smoothing out your engine bay. In fact, getting rid of all those small holes and smoothing all the metal out in your bay would probably make your bay stronger if ever in an accident...

ive never had a cop say any thing about my smoothed bay apart from not having the airbox there
