i agree with rubin.a good management system would probably further your output with what you already have done so i would say go management first.

keep the microtech, they arent a bad aftermarket ECU,

1500 wont go far..

id do it in this order

Camshaft
Injectors
Plenum
Motec
Forged Pistons
As for forged piston they are good but the standard internals can cope with around 400-500HP

How about a GT30 Turbo aswell?? Ditch the old Kenworth turbo and go ball bearing!!

Think about it.

Forged pistons - Bought and installed will probably cost more than $1500 - almost definately.
Cam - Wont do too much for the money youre spending on it. Wait til you've got everything you can out of the stock head.
Custom Plenum - I'm a little biased cause it's what I'm going for. Not TOTALLY necessary though.
Big injectors - You'd be surprised how cheap you can find good condition, cheap big injectors. Wait longer and keep an eye out.

The winner is MOTEC (although I'd go Autronic just for performance vs. cost argument). Get the absolute most you can safely get out of your current setup before you go spending lots more on other stuff. You might find you're happy enough with what you get for long enough that you can save up for the rest without it getting too hectic.

harley shops usually do pollishing,.sounds like you need to find a microtec specialist to tune your comp man.whoever is doing it obviously doesnt work with them too often

I doubt that the microtech is the weakest link in your setup.
As others have said; try getting it tuned by an expert.

Cams do a fair bit for the $$$, i think.

For $1500 I'd get some bigger injectors (even GTR) and a plenum. Fit them yourself and it would not be much more than your budget.

If you change computers you may get better cold start and slightly better economy or whatever you are looking for..... but, You would get so much more from plenum and/or injectors.
