ok just for u dvs wgn i actually walked outside n took a pic of it, nothin special just the common purple anodized colour, basically it's just a clear purple and the metallic comes through from the baremetal, no base coats

ps, no i don't know how to use a digital camera and i think it's a **** one so pics are dodgy

Fresh VL, that looks real smoooth. Nice job. dvs_wgn, unless your croming all under the bonnet, i'd suggest painting. I went to use the same colours as my car. Maroon to Gold. Pics are on the 1st or second page of this thread. Havnt seen a cover with a flame design yet hahaha

Its a pain in the ass spraying clear from a can. If you don't do it properly the surface will look ****house and yeah after time it will go yellow. Better off just buying a good quality paint and once its properly set (7 days) then give it a buff with appropriate wax. Then look after the surface no more dropping tools on it and so forth.

It's not hard to do man. The plenum was a pain in the butt as it was all hand smoothed but I guess it depends how much detail you want? Why stop at the rocker cover?

Mate you dont need a torque wrench to refit the rocker cover! Make sure the gasket is in good condition if it is then just re-use it and make sure its seated properly when you place the rocker cover back on...should not cause issues with running funny?...

Yeah, i guess its **** then cos it seems to be leaking grainie brown/black stuff around the gasket area thus stuffing up the spark plugs
