keep it stock looking but with a decent driveline like what im doing with mine. im exen keeping the stock exhaust tip so all that will give the car away is the eboost 2 and the microtech hand controler when its out

Its never really going to be worth anything overly exciting so do as you please in regards to your individual tastes. I pick LS3 Transplant and a Glide.

Why dont you let your Dad decide what happens with it...

After all, he's kept it 100% stock for all these years, Im sure he would be slightly disappointed to see it molested.

I'm building mine to be returnable to stock.

mods so far are suspension / brakes / interior seats + steering wheel, 3" front pipe / cat / exhaust gktech cooler.

i haven't and won't touch the stereo / external appearance (factory bodykit + roof racks but got a set of rims venetians and I have repainted the bumpers)

All mods are "era correct" in terms of styling. hsv steering wheel + walkinshaw seats, a set of v5 simmons (and also a set of momo status's) pretty low level engine mods.

anyway i think thats the way to go. i have standard suspension / seats / steering wheel / gear knob + boot / heaps of other stuff in storage. I'd love a smoothed and cleaned out engine bay + wiring but I'm hesitant to destroy all of the factory holes / battery tray etc.

At the end of the day its your car, but to modify a vehicle like this made in such low numbers and in amazing condition would be a huge shame.

If you really want a VLCT Wagon, you'd be better off buying one already 'molested' or mocking one up from a Berlina Wagon...
Then you could sell this 1 to me

that rb26 is my old engine out of my wagon mate. If that guy has looked after it thatd be a good buy. That cost me around 10k with a vipec computer to make it suit a vl. Lots of hours were spent on that thing. It was sold to him ready to bolt in, dump to cat pipes, ecu, modified sump etc.
