will a rb30 handle 2000hp??

guys my old man's mate has told me he is starting his new project. will be a rb30 in a hq panel van. as far as i know!

he will be running--dont know if all this is true or not! hense the reason of this post

rb30 block
rb26 head
custum 900hp rated turbo's x2
his using a 4 bolt main crank shaft out of a truck engine
will have pistons and rods all the goods
he wants to run around 32-34 psi out of the engine- aiming for low 8's
(apparently)!! engine will set him back around $25,000--$30,000 ??

so my question is, can a rb30 even make 2000hp?

to be honest it would be much better going with a r33 gtr or ls block wouldnt it??

will need to source a flux capacitor
after that, block should be fine
900hp reated turbo's dont mean you will def get 900hp!

fucking lol.
do u even know what 4bolt mains are?
good to see will be thinking out of the box and using rods and pistons in a combustion engine.

reality is a nice place, tell ur dads mate he should visit some time.

whos building the engine?

unless the crank magically strokes it to like 7 ltrs 32-34 psi wont get you 2000hp

lol RB30 (even if it is twincam) making 2000hp......

you would NEED something stronger than a standard R33 GTR block..there's nothing special about a 33 block, I don't even think an N1 block would be much better

Get a GT500 spec block

Also look into getting a dry sump setup ($5000 right there for a quality setup to handle this crack pipe power) etc etc

-OR-

Call up ACTIVE AUTOMOTIVE in WA, get Tassone to build you a bombed V8.........

Sounds like your dad's mate is talking out of his arse. Probably is building an RB30.. but his story is obviously exagerated to all hell to try and impress you. By the looks of it - it has.

doubt we will ever see an RB30 go anywhere near 2000, its not a 2jz

ignore what your dads mate said, hes probly just talking straight out of his arse. i had a guy approach me randomly one night when i was putting the bins out, telling me about his GTR that runs 80psi, and runs 8.2 down the quater, but hes gonna buy new turbos that can run 120psi, they were special race turbos. might be a relative of the bloke you know...

I'd estimate that MRPSI's engine would be well over the $100,000 mark to build. That has nearly double the cubes and twin GT47's running around 30psi.
As for racing it and running a time... how long have you got to get it on boost?

Does that bring this $30,000 3 litre into perspective?

Oh ben that must be the same friend on the people that say it's 35psi from each turbo in a twin turbo set up so it's running 70psi of boost ;-)
