Custom exhaust manifold or standard manifold?

I am looking into weather or not to buy a custom exhaust manifold. The engine will have forged ARP pistons, ARP camrods, micksmetal craft plenum, GT35/40 etc etc. Ok from what I know the standard manifold is made from cast iron and these aftermarket manifolds are all made out of stainless steel and others out of a special kind of steam pipe which have the tendancy to crack no where as strong as the standard manifold?? correct me if im wrong?
Is it best modifying my standard maniflod and welding thicker exhaust ports and whatever else is good for itwhen i do so?? Is there good power and toque gains in doing so? Does the turbo spool better ding so when running thicker ports that run straight and mounting the turbo close?
Oh geez alot there to answer any advice would be great guys!

custom manifold is definetly the way to go, you will always make more power. steam pipe is always the better option as it does not crack because it doesnt expand and contract under extreme temperatures!

i can get one made up for you at probably the best price you'll find, competition coated and everything! pm me if interested.
