$900 would be the max i would pay for it, as you still gotta by a turbo, manifold, water oil lines, ecu, relevant piping, pod, etc etc.

you can buy a complete turbo motor with everything for $1500 now days.

long motor ey...
steve, remember ages ago how i bought that rolling shell with a turbo long motor in it no manifolds and just spun one bearing...

I paid $500 for the whole thing...

If its a high km long motor dont pay more than $600 like what pete said. Chances are you would have to re-ring it and check the bearings are in good nick

Read what it says in his post? it's pretty clear that the rebuilt to turbo specs, which would be 7.8:1 compression.

I'd say he used original VL Turbo pistons, with new bearings and rings.

if the bores were in good nick, and the pistons were also, then kms don't matter.

Shannon, if you want to slap a 35/40 on it, run lots of boost, then you would be better off rebuilding your own motor and putting forgies in it if you want HP.

make sure u use good rings like a plasma moly based material ie hastings do this type of ring...

get strong bearings too with arp rod bolts (use sr20 ones they are the same just need to buy two packs)

hope it all goes good for you steve
