SA: Petrol Prices.

As a car forum, and enthusiasts I was really curious to hear your thoughts on the rising rate of fuel prices.

Tonight i filled up @ 164.9. All up like $72.

Its getting really out of control, I mean I've never been one to whinge about petrol prices because its just something you gotta do but right now its getting out of control.

What are your thoughts guys?

Thanks, wayne

? seriously thats life, i work at a servo and the amount of **** that i hear.... seriously, look how much a litre of milk costs? or a litre of softdrink? alot more~!!

it costs me about $120 to fill the Aristo with premium and thats just over 400km to the tank, so i bought a little daily!

if you dont like the price of fuel or you cannot afford the price of fuel then you cant afford to have a turbo car.

thats not a shot at anyone, just the truth

end rant.

They are my thoughts too Jeff, but I was just curious to anyones theory's about petrol prices slowing down/decreasing and yes it is life, but it doesn't mean we can't discuss it .

Terrorism is life, get over it! Lol. Have to agree with you tho Jeff.

thats not what im saying at all though jonno, if your comparing the price of petrol to say other things it isnt that much! as i said though thats life, we are never going to win, no matter how much you win? just have to be smart about it, petrol always goes up wed between 11am and 2pm, so fill up when its the cheapest!

i know Wayne, im not saying you cant discuss it, by all means, but its funny i hear this stuff at work all day everyday, i wish i got cheap petrol, but i dont, and thats the problem everyone needs to fill up, and the government make alot of money from it, believe me its not just the oil companies, i think as a whole we make around 4cents a litre off the petrol! most of the money that are made in servos are shop goods, thats why prices of shop goods in servos are like 200% up from what they should be lol

cheers

haha, yeah tell me about it, i drove the aristo around for the last 3 months daily man and its a bitch! thats why i bought a daily man, cost me $2500 and $40 to fill it with premium and thats 450kms to a tank on average

so im saving $80-$100 a week man, the car pays for itself in 6 months, gas is just as bad though, they have this massive thing about a rebate everyone convert to gas and blah blah then the price goes up 20cents a litre for good!

thats not to mention diesel. that doesnt go down it stays within a constant few cents a litre of itself that just goes up and up

I understand it would be constantly annoying listening to people whing about something that we really can't change

I wish i had the money to buy, run, insure, register 2 cars, but my wage as a 1st year apprentice mechanic really doesn't allow much money to play with after all the must haves in this world.

Yeah, I don't really drive that much, barely use half a tank a week in the VL. On the other hand, my brothers a brick layer and has to drive his ute and tow a trailer to different job sites. Petrol prices are really starting to affect people like him.

thing is though champ in that situation, you get a rebate at tax time for petrol used in working hours. so its not like they have to pay the entire amount!

and Wayne i understand that dude, just sucks, we all go through it, just have to hold out until you get pay rises bro, lol not everyone had a vlt a 17 remember that

anyway goodluck with the chat boys im off to bed, early flight to Melb tomorrow!! yay crown casino here i come... woooo lol

You guys think your cars will drink how bout a 5ltr carb on petrol, like a freakin camel in a hot dry desert. Thank christ for LPG atm. Im running a measly 300A impco set up just so the car drives but at 67 cpl i dont really give a rats about power loss. As for the petrol prices it does suck and theres no doubt alot of leg pulling is going on by governments and oil companies (the pricks know that they're time will be up one day so they hike up the $$$$ per barrell while oils still here) but unfortunately theres not much you can do about it except buy a small run arounder but even this might cause more headaches and $$$.

World Oil Prices have tripled since 2000. Not sure who your trying to blame?

So you could convert your car to E85/solar/push it

Or just toughen up like the rest of us...
