My car is for sale

Holden Berlina Turbo
Automatic RB30ET

If someone has the cash, I will sell this car, I want a GTR and nothing no one says will stop me getting one if I get the right money for the Berlina.

Car has just had a bare metal respray in Porsche Arena Red with GM MX Grey Bars and Moulds, all work done by I and J Paint and Panel, have pics of car stripped etc and I have replaced heaps of parts with new items such as-

Genuine GM pinstriping
Genuine GM Berlina Tail Lights and Rear Garnish
GM Boot and Corner moulds
Brand new non genuine wing mirrors and windscreen moulds
Brand new non genuine front bar fillers and centre section of front bar
New non-genuine headlights
Brand new windscreen

Motor is fresh, has not been started since rebuild but will be prior to sale, rebuild included-

Engine

ACL Forged pistons
Cometic head Gasket
ARP Head Studs and Rod Bolts
Large Tighe cam
Performance Valve Springs
Romac anodised vernier cam gear
K and N 4" pod

Engine bay extras include-

Large polished Oil catch can mounted where charcoal canister sits and returns to sump
Brand new Black silicone hose
ACL heat shielding around dump etc...all this stuff costs $$$$$$!

Exhaust side

Brand new Xtreme manifolds high mount and 4" dump pipe with screamer pipe.
Garrett GT35/40 (0.82) polished comp cover
Turbosmart 48mm Pro-Gate

The manifold, dump, screamer and exhaust hsng are Hollywood (Hitemp) coated and look trick.

Inlet side

Polished Rajab Racing plenum with XF throttle body
Earls vac fittings
600x300x76 Hybrid cooler
Custom pipe work by BTR alloy fabrication

Electrical/Fuel system

Haltech E6H Fuel/Ignition ECU
MSD 6A ignition
New Bosch ED coil
New custom ignition leads
headlight wiring etc hidden in chassis rails
Battery in boot
Fuel system in boot
2xBosch 910 pumps
Large BTR Alloy surge tank
replaced intank pump
550cc 13BT injectors

Trans/Diff

MV Automatics built Jatco 4 speed with brand new 3500 stall.
Factory 3.45 VLT LSD, very tight, never open wheeled.

Wheels

Polished FR19s, excellent tyres.

Brakes

Front- VT Twin Spot calipers, 296mm rotors.
Rear- Factory VLT.
Brand new Bendix pads fitted all round not yet bed in.

Interior

Genuine Scheel front seats retrimmed in genuine GM Berlina Sandalwood Velour and Vinyl, fitted and never used.
Immaculate factory rear seat and door trims
Venetians - Corners and Rear
Calais roof light and rear reading lights all working
Autometer Silver Oil Pressure and Boost gauge in centre console
Momo wheel
Pioneer head unit, splits, 6x9s, Alpine V12 4ch amp

Lots and lots of time and money spent on this car and I have been meticulous piecing it back together after stripping it.
Running gear all low kms and done little work if it is not brand new.

Car is now 99% complete and is getting the dump welded up this week, i'll then be running it in and will probably change my mind!

Previously made 282.5rwkw on 20psi with factory exhaust manifold and different plenum etc so im expecting 300rwkw pretty confortably on similar boost with the new manifolds etc.

It is for sale, dont waste my time and I wont waste yours, cash talks (or Bank cheque), bullsh1t walks etc etc etc

I may negotiate a price without the wheels but at this time I am firm on price, scoff all you like, this is not a slapped together muzz spec N/A convert and if it dont sell, I will enjoy the sound it makes on the limiter for sometime...

Link to thread with pics etc in the VL Turbo section

Quick pic of car not long after it left paint shop, motor is not fitted in this pic-

Cheers, Darren.

Asking Price: 25000

They are **** to drive!!,handle not real good and feel really, really, really old, my r31 is heaps more fun to drive. the 33's GTR are ALOT better and feel much newer, just heavier.
Be careful, aswell r32 gtr's are FAMOUS now for Running Bearings (seeing as they rev to 8000rpm, it kills them)
and breaking
ringlands, especially modded ones. If i had a dollar for everytime i have seen someone buy one . put turbos and cooler/boost into it, and they promplty
take a crap, i woudn't have to work, get a r33

For 30G you may get one with a newish forged/h-b eam motor, i know somebody that was selling there 33 with a fresh no km built motor not long ago for $30,000 was in really good nic aswell.

Whatever you do, try get one with a fresh motor, you don't need any more **** with cars,
What do you want one for?, how much power?

Evo's are still easily the best 4wd car, and the most fun to drive.
cheers
darren

So are stock gtrs, or boosted/cooler/exhaust gtrs.
You need to go in a REAL one, designed to do what they are meant to do
260-270awkw and semi-slicks.
I have been in stinker wrx's, evos and gtr's... the evo is miles ahead for fun factor.
the gtr would be the slowest through the adelaide hills, and the first to end up a tree!
cheers
darren

But think of the looks you'd get in the moments before hitting the tree!

I really want one because of their race heritage and ive always loved the shape etc...each to their own I guess.

I can understand your reasoning man, although it would be a shame.

I guess driving the ass off a car someone else built instead of your own would be less stressful somehow as well.

Good luck either way man, just make sure it goes to someone who'll respect it (with deep pockets haha)

They are the best value for money and well engineered.
Driveline and boxes are extremely strong for factory units.
GTiRs arn't a bad little package either.
Back on topic, top car, good luck with the sale Darren.

I TOTALLY agree with you they are the best/staunchest looking, i just don't like driving them otherwise i would have one. What made it worse i drove a r33 and it was ten times better and newer, but they look overweight and blobby.

My plan is to buy a R34gtst in a couple of yrs if business keeps progressing and put my driveline out of the 31 and some weld alumastars/bodykit
on it and sell the 31 as a roller, might even keep the 34 manual. Its all coin though....good luck, its worth the money
cheers
