1250hp RB30 SOHC on E98 JPC

Just found this vid on Fullboost. Thought I would share it! Awesome work by the boys at JPC. Does anyone know who owns this engine and what car its going into?

I just found some details below the vid on you tube!

Engine has previously run 8.79 at 160.25mph (with less power) in a full weight (3250lb) Holden VL commodore through stock suspension, Powerglide transmission, 9in rear end and 28x9in slicks.

1250hp
960 lb-ft
8500rpm
50psi

Will be interesting to see some times run, or at least a chassis dyno

No mean feat none-the-less.

Gotta love Johno's job!

Well done guys, good to see someone from down south finally playing catch up. KD looking like he is coming out bigger and stronger than ever before. Would love to see what one of these engines from the JPC camp with a twin cam head is capable of!

I'd like to see what a full 1200hp single cam head is capable of first.. I remember watching JPC's early videos of when they were racing the 3/4 chassis car after it had the rear end work done, and it was really giving the big tyres a work out as soon as it come on boost.

Valid point, no point in ending the single cam quest yet, they're making more than enough power these days, Staneks car made 1275 with more in it they reckon and Maatouk made 1100rwhp on the chassis dyno a couple years back.

Is it me or has that Rocker cover been modified in the video? Looks like an additional inch or so has been added.

Hi guys,

Yes that is a bit of an animal of an engine there and they certianly weren't afriad to lean on it. That is a lot of rpm from a 12-valve head.

The rocker cover is modified becasue of the roller rockers.

I'm pretty sure that,with a G Force 5 speed,this engine in a VL will run fast.....

Im also sure theres a good chance it will mix it with the best of them, will it become the fastest?? Only time will tell, but If I was a betting man I'd be putting on money on Mark and Paul to give it a good crack........

What I dont understand is what would u cut n shut the rocker cover when they make a laser cut ally spacer to lift the rocker cover up! I know this as i got my Roller Rockers and spacer from them. The spacer looks much better!

How much was the spacer Coleyz?

You could also get a CNCed rocker cover such as DEVL and SHERIF have..
