No offence to anyone on the street commodores board, but yesterday at the cruise, they just stuck to thier own group, I introduced myself to a couple of people but they pretty much stuck to themselves...strange, even Jason Gray stuck with who he knew, I think he was offended because I told him his Monaro looked like a Hot Wheels car with that paint job., Didn't mean to offend, but it does..

Imagine all us having a night out together in Coffs, would be great!

Wouldnt it be a better Idea to have it before the peak time of christmas, maybe in November sometime? Just thinking of availability and prices cause we all know they bump up the prices around any holiday, especially christmas.

Yeah, I found them all friendly, but a lot stuck to who they know, but they may have thought that about us too.......
I would be keen as to go to coffs...it gets VERY packed in the christmas season, so maybe even after would be a shot....
i could try and organise a heap of newy people.....with a hand to get other VL owners that I don't know...

OK well November would be good but don't forget the QLD boys do have Powercruise coming up in the begining of November.

If its gonna be November it should be late november, and NOT the 6th of December weekend... its my 21st and i have it all booked so thats a no go :P

I reckon we organise it for say late November. I'm gonna do some looking around to see what is available in the way of cabin type things.

Ok well i've called most of the caravan parks in Coffs and none of them have enough cabins.

We would be best to bring a tent and just camp it out... which could be fun, and is what you'd do at summernats, or the likes anyway.

As for sponsorship... i'm going to have a talk to Petroject and see if we can't get a few banners and ****, and maybe a few bucks to chip in to the camping and so on.

Also, what do ya reckon we get like stickers that say some **** like "www.calaisturbo.com Mega cruise entrant" or some ****... just a thought.

camping = alcohol.. i dont think i have ever been camping without having a few (too many) drinks... there would have to be somewhere with heaps of caravans.. just dont make it some time in school holidays when the places will be packed..

Yeah... like there were places at coffs that had cabins and on site vans but not enough to accomodate all of us. So if someone wants to pay the extra and sleep in a cabin then all's well and good to them.

I was talking to one guy and he said he'd be able to let us have exclusive use of the BBQ and so on providing the place wasn't busy (i.e. not school holidays).

Pricing at that place was about $22 a night for an un-powered site, and $27 for a powered site.

Plenty of car space available.

I'm thinkin we try and organise it for January some time... i mean october is busy with indy, and powercruise, November isn't enough time to organise it, and anyway its too close to xmas, december everyone is broke for xmas, so January is prolly gonna be best.

http://www.parkbeachholidaypark.com.au/ is the place i looked at which seems to be pretty good.

Its not lockup car space but its park your car beside your tent... Its the next best thing to actually sleeping in it.

Park Beach Caravan Park is the best one there, its on the beach, there is heaps of camping spots, plus cabins and on site vans.....i used to camp there every christmas when i was a kid....I think the caravan park in town has more hoons hangin round, and more mozzies too....
