this setup sounds great something different also i sent an email to the rod shop about the air con and power steering and this is wat he had to say.

The power steering can be simply remounted below the blower, its easy
according to the people who have done it, as for the air conditioner we have
not had any sales to people with one but would like to fit one if you wanted
it done. We fit at $55.00 an hour and there would be no charge for us to
design it, only the fitting time once it has been worked out.

another thing i would like to know on the web site it says an intercooler would not be needed just thinking would it be or not ?

yeah i have that pic of your setup kaBOOMn, your blower is mounted real high in the engine bay, running off a pulley added onto the power steering pulley right? the bottom mounts are also attached to the engine bay on the shock tower too.....interesting setup. does the fact that the belt slippage is, in effect, limited by the crank-power steering tension/grip lower your available boost? another interesting setup, this can be done a number of ways it would appear!

have to have a good look at your setup, pics just don't cut it when you're trying to replicate something in real life eh.

simz: you don't really need an intercooler because in theory the air being pushed into the engine is at ambient temperature. this is not hte case in real life though, the blower and induction pipes get rather hot! a small intercooler might help, but would contribute to a bit of "pipe lag" when the blower has to fill all that space up.

really.. ****.....doesnt your BoV go crazy when you back off the throttle..... like i got the same setup, and when I back off the throttle it constantly lets air out making a loud arse hissing noise.

yours do that?

No because I hooked my blower clutch to be tied into the TPS signal, when the TPS signal line goes to low (0v...throotle open) the blower is switched on, when it goes to +12v to (idle) the blower is switched off....

So if my foot is down the blower is on, foot off blower off

The only shound I get out of the plumb back bov is a loud "thrap" as the compressed air escapes.....

hmmm

is it hard to make the blower run off ur TPS?

coz next year im moving my TB - but a quick fix for now is to do that. - ALSO, if ur cruisin at 80.. with only a bit of throttle open in a high gear, wont the blower be on still leaking air out the bov - on my car if im cruisin i need at least half throttle open for the blow off valve to close.. anythin less then half throttle its slightly open hissing its asshole off

note the extra pulley on the power steering pump john..... very interesting and keeps everything in the stock locations....

kaBOOMn, do you find that boost/belt slippage is limited by the crank-powersteering belt or the powersteering-blower belt?

you can only see it in the last photo, and only indistinctly. it's been attached right on the end of the power steering pulley, so now there's two there. basically, the crank belt drives the power steering AND blower at the same time. i'm just wondering if the extra resistance gives belt slipping issues....
