scored sp300s today for a pretty good price from member st-wagon.

also sold the s2 engine and the manual conversion that were destined to live in my transmission tunnel and under my bonnet. the member on here actually overpaid me $100 accidentally, my father didn't want to offend the buyer by counting the money and when my mother counted about 3 hours later we realized. i rang the guy and he decided he wouldn't mind the s2 engine so hes 'put down a deposit'. kind of...

ehm what else? did i mention i got the front 2 tyres on my vy ss's? well i have and have been rolling on them for the last 2 weeks. still awaiting confirmation or approval to fix my car kudos to cambria panels 6 cambria rd keysborough. Peter and john (as well as john's daughter Eva) have been wonderful so far just as i expected. just a matter of the person at faulkt's insurance company getting their act together. they technically owe me a hire car in the meantime. until then i will be making an angry phone call tomorrow as i have been driving a car without a bar section for over 3 weeks now... risking a defect much?

lol at bogz, always telling me to OG it.

the wire is the loom for my horn. i had an oogah horn in their and had to take it off. (defect) i taped the wire up onto the reo but it has since fallen off. i will have to put the oogah horn back on but haven't gotten around to it yet.

and as for the rims i love them. they increase the handling tyenfold and don't worry bogs i love the polished calais wheels aswell and these are in my shed getting dusty. sometimes you need a change in rims to be able to appreciate just how nice your others are. eg after having the walky's on my car and returning to calais while the handling was terrible i really appreciated how nice they look. after a few months on 205 15"s though i was more than happy to move on.

ok get the car back wednesday (apparently)

so i have been painting all night. to be ready for c4c5 i have to -
- attach new doormould
- attach new accelerator cable
- full detail
- considering what rear runners i should fit up?
- vy ss?
- polished vlc
- vpc
- black 15x6 with vr acclaim
- with vlt / v8
- with newly sprayed chaser centre caps.

also going to have a chat to stylin car audio and maybe get a new sticker for the rear window and maybe a sticker from beaurepairs nepean hwy as well as they have been great to deal with over the last month.

Man, I can tell you I won't be using those clips, just a LOT of sikaflex. The clips they used are dogey as all **** and snap without fail.

what rear runners? the same as what you have on the front ffs! or are you trying to make it look like a pos?

like someone else said earlier, keep it simple...

stickers, mismatched interior and mismatched wheels are only letting the look of the car down. get the VLC bootstrip and eyebrows on aswell... id also think about getting rid of the towbar tongue unless you actually use it every week or something... so many simple little things would clean the look of this car up ALOT...

Avenged7X,

1. rear runners will be vy ss on the day. (i don'y change my rear wheels just for looks and to do so i would have to buy some new 15"s...) i was considering some differnt wheels but hey its c4c not a burnout day.

2. mismatched interior, the vs ss seats are much better than stock, there was a long term plan for these but the plan is now don't spend outrageous amounts of money as this has become my daily. and as a daily i will not be sitting in seats which are uncomfortable after 22 years of wear. (you can feel the metal bar in them on long trips) apart from the front seats the doortrims now have matching speaker pods and the rear seat is just a later model item with buttons.

3. the towbar tounge has saved my car / s from being written off countless times so it will stay. there is no good reason to remove the tongue.

as for the stickers i like to support the companies that support me, styln has been awesome every step of the way and are now providing 3 way focals and matching h/u and amp to a friend of mine. i will definately be going to them for my new car's alarm and a small system. i have no bad words for the styln team and they have earned their place on my rear window. i will however be looking at a new sticker for the cruise as the old one is well... badly placed.

new pics mid repair. it is dirty, but have a look at the orange peel on the paint hmmm.....

i'll be picking it up tommmorow (apparently)

first i rubbed them back. then i sprayed them with black bumper primer. midnight gloss black on top of that and then hand painted (with asteroid silver touch up paint) the "calais"

as for the bullet badges i pulled them apart, stainless steeled and polished the chrome, rubbed back and sprayed silver the bullet pieces (plastic)

for the garnidh i followed the thread in the tech section using a new garnish sticker acquired from beazly
