the torana will never be sold as much as it depresses me

made a promise to the original owner

i'm kind of hoping it gets a defect after hitting the road so i've got an excuse for injected 8/71 setup... or atleast the LS1 lets go so i can build a nice iron block stroker for it.

Kingswood/VR on the other hand, i wish they would sell haha

Well finally a bit of a progress, been sitting at workshop since mid-march... Gave them a bit of a rev-up and things are happening.

New bushes, tie rod ends, balljoints, lovell springs, koni reds & few other minor things.

Now a bit of a wait for the master/booster/brakes/brake lines & handbrake to be fitted then i shall bring it home.

Got her home from suspension/brake place today... March-June felt like an eternity!

Hoping it settles a bit lower, but very happy none the less.

Loving the progress of this.

My mate just finished building his LS1 LX SLR mock up.

Cammed ls1 motor + a tune. T56 manual, 9" diff with 3.9s

Awesome car and motor combo. Does low 12s at the drags with 275 street tyres (god for 11s with slicks)

Cruises at 1500-1800 rpm in 6th on the highway and gets 550+ kays to a 75L tank

Yeah 6 speed was originally the idea until i checked out 2 mates who done the manual conversion and had to cut the floor up!

Anyway, few more goodies on the way for the Torana

Dropping the tank off in Perth to get cleaned with a POR15 kit, cut up and modified for EFI with AN fittings, EFI Filler etc

Adjustable alternator bracket (for when using elec water pump and nothing else)

Coilpack relocation (most likely going under dash now)

300 Series Meziere 55gpm Water Pump

Fitted the alternator kit today, no instructions and a blurry picture made it interesting (typical usa kits) but worked it out soon enough

Must be a bit of moisture in the shed because the ARP Balancer bolt looks a bit manky yet its brand new, socket must have scraped a bit of the paint off during install
