Hit a roo last night (21st Jan)

Not totally impressed with that little skipping land mine .

I was on my way home from my parent's place, I was driving along a dirt backroad just minding my own business, coming up to a narrow section of the road (culvert on the left, train tracks on the right) and BAM! Gotcha. When I pulled up I was thinking, oh no dammit. Got out expecting to see a head in the radiator and everything mashed, but was pleasntly surprised when only the glass over the drivers headlight was smashed and a few decent sized cracks in the bumper. Aren't I glad that I hadn't had the air-conditioner condenser re-installed..

My tale of woe & misery, with a pleasant ending, new front bar.

You're really lucky the air con condenser wasnt in, those things are expensive to replace.

Also just goes to show good things can come from accidents.

It wasn't all that small, I'd say about 3 feet high, just lucky it had only just landed when I got it (or it got me) other wise instead of going under the nose cone, it would have gone through it. It happens hey, I'm not all that broken up about it. Just have to buy another bar.

for those too lazy to click on the link - it is another forum's thread, which is recreated below.

Quote:
Topic : What happens when it rains DEER

Ah yes, it is that time of year when man hunts for deer in hopes of bagging The Big One and achieving an elite status and bragging rights amongst one's peers. Just ask VanillaApe, who hopes to proudly cruise through town with a dead deer draped across the roof of his Jeep.

Fortunately, one guy didn't even have to crawl through the woods for weeks on end to be able to proudly display a deer on his roof. It simply fell from the sky.

A friend of a friend in Alberta, Canada explains his misfortune: "This deer jumped off the Hwy 101 bridge over 394 in Wayzata (it was apparently scared by a car that drove by as it was walking over the bridge). The Durango was driving under the bridge when it was hit by the falling deer."

haha i would love to hear his insurance company when he tells them that the reason his car is a near writeoff is because a deer jumped of a passing bridge he went under LOL.
