Car is tuned!! Extremely fu<kin happy!! :D:D:D

well i just had the car tuned by Pete at pro torque

i cant say enough about this bloke!!
he is an unreal tuner! his trouble shooting skills are awesome, knows exactly how to fix a problem and you can tell he loves his job!

the car is currently sitting at 23lb, last pull had wheelspin as the tyres where about to let go

he also hadnt started chasing power and to be honest, he didnt need to lol
car will be going back very soon with some good tyres on it and put some more boost into it

extremely happy with it and so was Pete
he thinks its a very very good setup!!

as for the power it made, ill let the dyno sheet show that
intake temp is high but it was damn humid and hot in the cell!!
major storm going on outside to

Here's some updated photos of the car and setup

Exhaust is a little low but will fix that
Built motor not far away

Update
Built motor nearly finished
Here's some pics of the std cp pins on the right and the upgraded cp pins on the left

Eagle rods with cp pistons

Built bottomend

I think the oil pump mods are pretty much finished aswell

So once we know about the head, it will be all finished, ready to go in

I'm guessing JZA80 Supra, 2JZ-GTE with a large single GT40 or 42 (or equivalent) for those sort of figures on such low boost..

yeah the motor has only had a rehone, new bearing and rings
head has had a slight tickle, just a cleanup and arp headstuds

cpc custom plenum with 80mm tb
gsc s2 cams which are about 274@10.2m lift

cant wait to see what this thing romps out at 30lb!!
altho 30lb might be a bit much for the std bottomend lol

we set the exhaust cam back to 0 which made more power but it was a touch lazier

big thanks to pigsy to who was out there with me while it was on the dyno
i think we pulled the plugs about 4-5 times lol

on the dyno yes, under load on the street, no

they might last a couple hard pulls on the street but not much more

the load on the street is totally different to on the dyno

Yeah I just went looking for photos of a standard 2JZ block on Supramania, you can see through one side and out the other... also dyno's can be loaded up to mimic street coniditions

Alot of those Supra's have the 2 step engaged on the ECU which limits the rev's on low gears so they dont wheel spin or they would be all over the place

Yeah I was very happy!
First run after I got the new plugs for it seen it go over 600 at 21

Absolutly no breakup so up went the boost

I reckon it will hit 800@28lb
And mark thinks the turbo is good to 35+

That could potentially see this turbo make near 1k at the tyres if I had a motor n head for it

Looks like I'll be sending the eboost back to turbosmart to see what they can do n hopefully get the new software aswell

It's alot camier now on idle as it idles lower
Sounds like a v8 lol

No they can't,they try to, but they don't..and the 2 steps aren't to limit power of the line, they are there to make more power out of the hole, the motor builds boost against them, otherwise half the setups would fall flat on there face and go nowwhere.

Nice work troy, thats setup sounds like lots of fun!

E-boosts, do they ever ****ing work properly?, never buying one ever again!
cheers
darren

So yours starts first go from cold?
A mates one cranks for about 20+ seconds before it fires... apparently the E85 has to be warm or something?

Interesting. Do you know what changes the tuner made at all in regards to making it easier to start?
