VL wont kick over

hey guys i just did a manual conversion and rewired the two purple wires in the engine bay. i try to start it but nothing happens. all i hear is the fuel line. no sounds from the starter either. any help greatly appreciated. thanx

Steve did you use a 5 speed VLT stater motor?

hmmm i think its just a n/a 5 speed starter will that make a difference?

nah the starter doesnt spin. only priming no other response

i turn the key as far as it goes and when i reach the end the accessories turn off. no response except priming. any ideas? thanx

It must be something to do with the neutral start switch, are you sure you have wired it properly?

hey guys, thanks for your help so far, i think i wired it correctly. i have read a few threads on this and i did what they say to do. i removed a relay from near the battery and then joined the two purple wires near the relays but i am getting nothing but electrics and fuel. will check the spark and that fuel is actually getting to the rail. have i done the re wiring corectly?

by the way i did a temporary n/a conversion as i am waiting to get an r33 box so i have a 9.5 clutch so am using an n/a manual starter.

Steve you can only use 5 speed starter motor on a manual gearbox...If you can grab a VLT Starter motor of someone give it a go Steve you sure the starter motor is on right?
