first time driving calais turbo!

i just drove my car for the very first time. it was the first turbo car i have ever driven and its my 5 speed calais. loved every second! As soon as i drove out of my street in first gear, hit about 2500 rpm and i heard the spool, then the pull. AWESOME. oh and any one thinking about getting a vlt but not sure just do it!

Also id just like to thank every one on here at CT as without the input from so many i would not have the car let alone knowing how to do half the stuff i have done on it and will be doing to it in the future.
Thanks Steve

congrats man - I know the feeling. Sounds like you'll have a smile on your face for the next couple of months. Even the handling is so much better on the turbos ( rear disks, lsd etc), I love driving mine.

I remember the first time i drove my turbo; it was the first manual i'd owned and was running 14 psi. The first time it hit boost was like wow. Anything that makes you that happy has got to be good.

Its a good feeling isn't it the first time you hit some serious boost You sound like you have a level head on your shoulders mate, take care of your car and take care of yourself and you will have a good time with it.

i remeber my first time to, coz i had a HQ monaro with a very mildly worked 5 litre and when i sold it and started looking for a VLT i thought oh yer would go alright compared to the munro but when i got in and put my foot down and heard the spool then felt the kick it was such a good feeling, never looked back or even compared or thought about the other cars i have owned.

First time driving a boosted vlt is quite an experience....

When the car moves a fair bit and you start going fast and faster and you get that feeling in the bottom of your gut sort of a "sick" feeling. But quite addictive.

R32 GTS T's dont come close...

Vl's are so easy to make them quick. Bolt on a cooler, get the exhaust done and run 14 psi....

Instant power spending a grand ish...
