Good spot.
Didn't even think of that.

Dash is warped above air con too.
Nice red though.

Great find, flyer wheel intact though recovered, low kay last of the 180kw carby motors now more saught after than the injected conversions.
What are they worth now?

What do you mean the plates are around the wrong way? You do realise the polariser sits behind those tags yes?

The only thing wrong with this car is the asking price..70k is a little far fetched.... he's had this car since 1989, so there's a lot of sentimental value there & I think this guy is nearly in his 70's

As for the wheel, I think he has his original one in a box and has this as his used wheel.

Its a great GENUINE car & probably one of the highest optioned V8 LE out there(no sunroof)... I've tried to buy it a couple of times before this ad appeared but not at 70k

The ID plate next to the HSV plate should be on the left side
Not the right side as per this car!

Understandable but I'm picky.
At least have a dash mat if your going to enjoy it.
The interior appears superb but photos can do that (not saying it isn't).

Cheers
David

I do realise the polariser sits behind those tags, it does not however give reason as o why the ID plates are the wrong way around, absolutely no reason, it means tags have been off the car at some stage and when re installed done so incorrectly by order

Agreed. I don't recall seeing any other HDT VL Sport or LE with that trim. Not sure if it was a special order/one of a kind. Not sure if I like woodgrain dash panels and inserts in a red interior but overall it's quite a nice car.

HDT VL (Prospect SA)

Even though Adelaide is pretty small compared to the other states, there seem to be always so many cars hiding around

Too true, not only do I have my factory tuxedo blk VLC V8 sedan in the shed but locally over the years I have seen 3x original VL SV88's down south and a burgandy/maroon single tone VL Calais and a Burgandy/maroon over champagne gold VL calais with black mesh simmons wheels (rego GMH086) is just around the corner. There must be many more VL's hidden away in SA

VL's are taking off a lot quicker than HQ coupes are though. My LS 350 Coupe only cost me 42k 7 years ago. Only reason I bought one was because I couldn't afford a good HG/HK/HT and along with everyone else we accidentally pumped HQ prices up. Same things happening with XC Falcons now.
