Help me to achieve max performance.

hi there,

i am in the midst of doing my VL up - it looks the part (inside & out) - now it needs more beef (I've got a mate who knows everything there is as he owned bout 3 VL's - 2 that were turboed).

I just want to get other peoples opinions on type of extractors (2.5''), Power Chip & brands recommended, if you guys think it would be worth installing a stage 2 or 3 cam?
Having a proper cold air induction kit installed?? etc etc.

It would be lovely if someone out there might be able to help me in my hour of need!!! ha ha ha.... Thanks

yeah, It would be nice but i'm only 21 & can't insure it if it's turboed - & where I live I won't own a car if it's not insured.

The car goes pretty good (one of those engines that just cracks straight outta the factory), it already has 2 1/4'' exhaust - I jsut wanted it to perform a bit harder & have a real nice deep sound to it....I'm saving to buy a Subaru WRX (so that can be my Turbo & the VL my Sunday car).

I just got insurance on my vl turbo and im 19 (p plater) who lost his liscense making it hard for me.

Anyway NA what i did to my old engine. I thought NA was pathetically slow even with this done.

2.5 inch exhaust
extractors
cold air intake
removed MAF mesh screens
increased advanced timming

Thats all i did and it wasn't anything special.
If you want a bit more you can change cam, port your head, bigger throattle body. main thing is trying to get enough air in each of those cylinders to make the power thats why at the end of the day save the money and put a turbo on it and solve that problem and just end up with getting fuel problems. Its a viscious circle lol

have a look in the non-turbo section there is heaps.

as above and maybe xf tb, and get rid of the crappy plastic piping for the air filter. straight thru exhaust, empty cat, 1 muffler and mini spool so you can enjoy it.
