New console. Finally!

It's taken a LONG time to find.
But finally found a genuine cerulean high rise console!
Only taken since last October when i bought the car. Definitely a win in my book haha.
Pretty much means the interior is now complete apart for a door trim which i'm not overly fussed about.

Had to buy a new a new overflow bottle through the week as mine finally carked it and ran coolant & washer fluid everywhere. Thats about the latest on the 'ol vl. Still waiting to pick up some 14's off a mate when he's finished with them so i can finally get these hubcaps fitted.

Also, be on the lookout for the vl at the up and coming melbourne old school cruise to calder park to support bellas fight. It will be there somewhere, but, will try and get on the pavement.

A pic from today at Calder Park's Thunderdome.

And the near abandoned Thunderdome, actually brakes my heart to see the track abandoned and in such poor state.

Lawless Photography got a photo of the nugget at calder as well

New decals!

Got some decals i've been meaning to get for ages!
To me the car feels near complete now!

I also pick up some 14's tonight.
I'm unsure as to run a 215/65/14 or a 185/75/14. Thoughts?

Thats the plan haha. The 17's looks very average on it. I'd love to run turbo hubcaps (red holden logo and black nuts with satin silver face) on 15x4 fronts and 15x7 rear with 235/55 mt streets, would be tuff as!

As for now, berlina hubcaps are the go!

New rims finally!

Finally! I have the new wheels on the car.
This car is literally back to stock now.
Although i do feel the need for a slightly bigger rim, So a set of walkies or 17' simmons fr's may be on the cards

It's not bad man. 100% stock. You don't see them like this anymore.
It wont be like this for much longer. It's getting a carburetted 6.0ltr out of a ve in it. That will the best part of the project.

14's are back on and staying on. The vl goes in for some fresh rubber tomorrow [Federal 215/65/14] Which should do the trick.

As stated before i'm really not a huge fan of walls. But, for some reson a red wall appeals to me on this. I need opionions haha. Somehow found some photo's of a berlina with red walls on facebook.

Thanks mate! Appriceate it. Alot of blood sweat and tears have gone into it.
I will be honest it's really not my thing either haha. At least the red walls are different compared to the white walls everybody gets down here.
I'll just leave it, looks clean and simple without it.

Looks really nice man! I like the hubbies.

Cheers alex. Sold your rig yet? Definitely not getting walls. It would spoil it

New tyres are on. Nice to have fresh rubber for once.
Unfortunately it needs tie rod ends, race ends and wheels bearings replaced before they can align it :/ , just something else that needs fixing!

I have also decided to not go with walls. If you doubt yourself, it's not meant to be

I drove about 20-30k's this morning and the vl didn't get hot.
Took apart the thermostat housing when i got home and found this
Out with the old and in with the new. Just proves that you always need to use coolant.
I thought i may be able to save the top outlet pipe but it's too far gone and just leaks unfortunately. just another job for tomorrow along with an oil change.
