that experience is handy depending how old it is, I had a fun time removing my old tint.
it was some super awesome 3.5 layer stuff that was crusty lol needed to come off. cant have miss matching windows lol

But yeah mate i think you should take the tint off and Give it back the factory look.

Whan i had my first blue calais on my Ps i wanted to put tint on but now i look back i think it looked the best without it. hmm my god one has tint atm and it

Tint looks cheap in some cases and
for some weird reason it louses its sleek look with solid dark mass above the doors.
Vls have that thin fit yet strong look to them and the tint is like blending the black of the window frames through the windows, if that makes sence.

Hey guys, new snaps in the back yard.

Since the exhaust is really loud with the pacemakers and 2.5, i decided to put a hot dog at the rear with a dump tip.

Car looks great. Only thing is those blue parkers looks super ****. Like you're trying to fit in with the douchebag VT-VZ V6 guys. Drop that faggotry.

BTW, your centre console lid is just the vinyl type right? Should try to pick up the material covered Calais style.

Ditched the parkers about a year ago lol, everything is factory except height and exhaust mate, because its leather trim, the center console is leather, not velour.

---------- Post added 27-07-12 at 15:52 ----------

oh and tint and chrome handles are not factory as well.. Everything else is.

Liking good mate like how low its your car. Remember We are not in school any more n u don't have to feel u have to run around keeping up appearances (not that u are) Your car your build there's no real satisfaction building something to others standards. Not that they are not good ideas just hate to see people become sheep and feel that there are rules and codes of practice for being "creative". Good build staying tuned

Hey Guys, little update.
Took the Calais to Brissy around a month ago now, drove like a dream. Here is a pic of my girlfriend and i leaving home.

Back home.

Being in Year 12 and close to finishing, for my Auto Major i rebuilt a 30. A6 block but only pulled it apart and put it back together with some paint. This motor will later on be my turbo motor, or if i find a genuine A8 i wouldn't use this one. Just High temp black on the sides, with some silver here and there. Plus wrinkle rd tapp. cover.

So as it got marked a few weeks ago, i decided to finally get my bay organized. Cleaned her up and swapped the tappet covers over.

Before

After

More Randoms

Some say it does, my brother has one for his Maloo, and it has marked his a little, but polishing if after woulds is ideal. I had a few cloths underneath it so it would hopefully stop it as much as i can.

Since I'm nearly finished school, university maybe in the line of future ways next year so i bought a daily driver. Even though my Calais is not my daily, i use the bus and my girlfriend and i have the same free's at the same time so the Calais never goes to school.

Anyways i have gone to the dark side and bought a Falcon, and i know what your thinking haha. If in any other circumstances i wouldn't buy a Falcon, but in this instance it was a good buy. My girlfriends Grandparents have owned this Falcon for many years, and previously it was in the other side of her family by her Dads Grandparents. Its a 94' Falcon GLi, 180,000klms with log books. And picked up for a really good price. All bog stock, good klms for its age and has obviously never copped a caining. It just got passed for the yearly rego inspection and passed very easily. Drives great and only things ill do to it is give her a good service, and lower her a bit for safety.

Picking it up on Friday so ill take some before and after photos, because being me any car needs a good mo fo clean.

Hey buddy nice calais you got there, just dump the white walls as they look really **** IMO. One day you will look back at it and scratch your head.

Other than that looks really good! Good to see a clean overflow bottle with Bright coolant!

---------- Post added 07-09-12 at 00:02 ----------

Just looked further up the page and its so dissapointing to see the turbo badge, man why!? Lol *facepalm*

Sad because you bought a Falcon.
Personally I like the whitewalls and love the work you have done to this Calais. Looking fantastic, also the photography is awesome too. I wish I had at least one decent photo of my wagz.
