Modifying a super rare vlt

Fellas as the title suggests, I'm after tips/suggestions on how to modify (reversible mods) a rare vlt.
How/what would you modify so that you could return to stock one day if desired

My thoughts thus far are as followed.

Remove original motor and install built motor
Patch loom so wiring loom isn't fiddled with
Built 3n17b jatco
Low mount internally gated 35/40 or similar
Stock manifolds
Bigger fuel pump
Custom cooler pipes etc for no holes
Make custom brackets for intercooler so no holes are drilled anywhere in the body and cooler mounts to existing holes for headlights or the like.
After 300-350rwkw, pump fuel and want the car to be able to be returned to stock again if need be and as per factory spec
What would you do?
Please don't say don't modify lol!

Yes go for it, You're on the right track. Just label and properly store every original nut, bolt bracket etc.

I'd remove your original engine loom and find another that can be chopped according to your needs.

Id even stay four speed at that power level as they are capable and you dont need to modify anything, when you want to return it standard the gearbox can stay!

Also, just get a plug in vipec board so you can maintain factory loom, no modifications required.

Good advice lads
Deano - a Vl with an additional ID plate with a build number
Vinvlt, you reckon the 4spd will like that power level? Shouldn't be too hard to find another 4spd turbo box

Rare VL to be modified.

Hi Katsa (Chris),
I agree with the other guys and if you are labeling your parts for storage that is even better.
Can I suggest that all parts get wrapped or boxed up and labeled and put up the man hole into the ceiling roof space (if you own your own home). Then leave a note in your glove box/console/wallet stating that original parts are stored in roof so if something ever happens to you then other family members will know where to find the original parts.
I have built shelving inside my house roof and walking planks and stored car parts and other rarely used stuff in the roof and out of the way. Very useful spot to store stuff and it doesn't get damaged by anyone or the weather. Kind Regards, Chris

Ye exactly what I as thinking, ecu is a plug in ecu, would also suggest taking a video of what was where etc.
General consensus thus far is modify, but do it tastefully and reversible by the sounds of it

Ye ecu is a plug in! As for box, is the three speed a shorter box or the same? I could of swore the 3spd was a direct swap I.e same tail shaft etc.
