Blue Berlina Turbo

Picked it up off the forums about 3 years ago i think with 169 000km on the clock in very good nick. to use as a daily... didnt work out well ended up lowered on lovels springs and munro shocks 2.5" exhaust and extractors, also threw a set of ceptors on for good measure, was nice and comfortable but very slow and very loud.

1 year after buying it turbo covertion happened.
3" exhaust, 3" pacemaker pipe no cat
rebuilt standard t3, standard manifold
turbo injectors
and a front mount, no holes made by me
went well lots of fun but the box blew up after 3 months, was replaced with a "dirt r31 auto" for $125 with a 3 month ganrette, this one last 6months ish pretty happy with that.

after a parking miss hap saw the front bumper eat **** the car was taken off the road.
t4 turbo, turbosmart 38mm gate went on, along with removing the head to replace broken studs, replace the cam with a mild wade unit and get those ports looking loverly, this was also continued onto the inlet manifold, all put back together with nissan head gaskets.

...all was well and good...apart from no front bar a semi fooked auto... last about 30mins...waste gate fell off the manifold and noticed the turbo was blowing smoke...****, and its been that way for the last 2months

new front bumper has been sourced, and resprayed along with the rear bar and bumper molds, yet to be fitted.

picked up all the bits and pieces to throw a mx7 box behind it.

picked up a nice little 2L surge tank which will be feed with the standard intank pump and two vl external pumps.

looking at replacing the turbo with a larger gt35, .50 compressor and .63 rear or .82 rear hopefully, instead of rebuilding the garrett/turbonetics t4 just because its allittle too responsive for my liking and its upset me.

considering the planned gt35 the ecu and injectors will also be replaced with either a nistune or a microtech, and either some 42-55lbs 14mm injectors or some 440cc skyline items. a minispool is also planned for the ass end as the lsd's getting a tad worn.

Just throw a few pictures up, of how it looked and where its going kinda thing....done around 195 000km now

anyway here some pictures tell me what you think, suggestion, opinions of said future happings appreciated cheers.

**** didnt no this had been approved, ill have to get some pics up.
the cam is a wade 1112c or something, its pretty small, idles nice power range around 2500-5700-6000rpm, ill try and hunt down some specs it just run in really, considering selling it for something bigger

also car now has a mx7 manual behind it with new heavy duty clutch, all factory parts, even got a factory shifter and mint console piece very happy with it.

and picked up a gt35 2 days ago and spacer plate dummy fitted it today and pretty happy with how it looks too. .50 compressor and 1.06turbine with ported wastegate and 12psi actuator which will be swapped for a .86 rear external gate.

need to get some pics up, front bumper came up really well very happy with my little respray effort.
redone the pin stripping and got the two standard external pumps in the boot with a 2L surge tank, cheap set up owes me $100 or so if that.

got the gt35 on made up a piece for between the pacemaker pipe and turbo, and very impressed with the response and power of the gt35, although only on 5psi its very good fun.
unfortuantely for unforseen reasons the turbo looks like it needs the bearings replaced which is very disappointing, not having much luck with turbos lately.
been very pressed for time though working weekends and nightshifts

have also painted the rocker cover wrickle red, and polished the top part of the inletmanifold, wastegate, brackets, timing cover. acc vavle and a few other little bits to neaten it up abit.

ill have to get some more recent pics up including how the engine bay looks before it gets pulled apart and the turbo sorted out

got the gt35 fixed up and replaced after melting a bearing.
all good from rotomaster very happy with them.
also braided water line and a hard line braided oil feed too.
5-6psi seems very fast compared to 8psi from the old t3

and some pictures the hubcaps are just a temp thing along with the intake set up.

Big update.

setting my self a goal of getting a 10second pass from the ol vl.

so far,

The mx7 has been swapped out for a 3speed full manual trimatic with 3500rpm converter, one piece shaft and b&m shifter

Front end has had all new bushes put through it and a new steering rack.

Rear end has moser 31spline axels, full spool new bushes new shocks boxed upper and lower trailing arms and an adjustable panhard rod.

motor is also now running a 1552b wade stick and around 18-19psi of boost hopefully once its all back together off too get a decent tune and have a crack on some slicks at that 10!
